Ooh, you go through all your comments! That's good. I was just wondering if you could tell me the difference between a vector and a vexel? I read the gallery definition and I don't quite get it. Also when you're finished with the picture how do you save it as a simple file, like a jpeg within illustrator? I just export it to photoshop to do it but I don't know how to do it within Illustrator. Oh, and is the gradient tool considered cheating in a vector?

vexel is vector+pixel where there's a mix between raster and vector. As you use something other than pen tool on photoshop, your work gets into vexel. theres no such thing as cheating vector or anything for using gradient. Its just an approach on how u make an art~ XD making your vector work become vexel.

partially it is. depends on how you get the whole things done.there are alot of vector artists who don't trace at all. as for this tutorial, its a really basic guide for starters
