Wow. I think I'm insane. I spent all day working on this
I made it for Photoshop CS2, I'm not sure if all the functions I used (namely the gradient maps) are available in any earlier versions.

Question - did you flatten the image at the beginning? because the girl takes on all the attributes of the background even though you wrote that you need to activate the background for the effects. I can't see in the tute where you've changed the look of the girl separately from the bkgd.
