Das my friend Holly and me, on top of a Bacon Mushroom Melt and a Quarter Pounder. I don't know if you can tell, but she's supposed to represent Wendy's and I McDonald's. I know, I know, SO EFFING CHEESY.And what the faaaaaaak, Yapi, why did this piece of crap take you three days???
If there was one person who kept me sane here in China, it's my friend and coworker Holly. So I made this for her as a birthday gift. I thought twice about using my style because she's not really into animation and the like, and neither is anyone else in her life but me. So I thought I'd draw it in a style that she and her peeps back home could appreciate.
I'm so not used to this style, though. Maybe I do need to practice it more. And learn to stylize it some more, too =/
Anyway, you know you've been living in China too long if you start considering hamburgers a real treat. Whenever it's just the two of us during Tuesday dinner out night, we'd be like, "OOOOH it's just us, WE CAN HAS CHEEZEBURGERS!" (Can you believe she's never heard of lolcats either, before she met me???)
So this is to commemorate our friendship and love for hamburgers. I'll certainly miss her when I leave China!
And I'm so totally going to McDonald's after wrestling class tonight. Booyah.

Haha! Me and my boyfriend went to China about three years ago and after a week or so you can get very tired of eating the same food and we found out there were McDonalds and we were like YESS FOOD FROM HOME, and the funniest part was it tasted better than McDonalds from Canada.

Haha inorite. I think everyone is the same with their own home food. I remember when I was in the US for a month, after the 2nd week I just couldn't eat anything from America anymore. Even the foreign cuisine tasted too American! We had to go to Chinatown to get food that tasted different, and searched for places that had an authentic chef running it!
I thought I wouldn't mind having Chinese food everyday, since I did grow up eating a lot of it, until I realized that China is so huge and that the Chinese cuisine I'm used to was just one part of China! I like Hong Kong and Canton style, and basically southeast Chinese style food, but I ended up in Northeast China, and GAWD I do NOT like Dongbei cuisine! Geeeh.

Well, for our first few days we were in the Sezhuan region so everything was SPICY and I usually can't handle a lot of hot food lol, so I was pretty much sticking to rice, I liked the food in Xi'an and Shanghai though.

Personally I like getting double stacks, 99 cents, buy 2 or 1 and a chilli or one and a chicken sandwich and its a great lunch

I would not mind trying one. I had my dad order one once, he let me try it and it was good. I might order one next time I visit. Lately though I've been craving Frosties, I havent had one in about a month

Too bitter for my taste >_< Blue Cheese brings back lots of fond memories. They used to have it as a dip for Domino's pizza back in the early 90s. Also once when I was a kid (around 10) I ran out of food, all I had was popcorn, blue cheese dip from Dominos, and popcorn, and made a sandwich out of that for my and my sister

I guess I was sort of a spoiled kid. My mom made sure there were always enough snacks at home for us to munch on, plus the maids always brought us our food on time
