Description
I told the guy with the hat I'd continue, so here I am continuing...There's a homeless old lady at Ueno Station that I would visit 1-2 times a month. I don't really talk to her, I just smile, give her food, then leave. Though I've been busy lately. Tonight I finally went to her again. But in her place were two rows of traffic cones, seemingly serving no real purpose but to keep people like her off the area.
I looked around, but I didn't find her.
I gave the food to the old man under the bridge near Nishi Nippori instead. He's always sleeping, but all it takes is one "Ossan..." and he's awake and sitting up right away, ready to eat. Every time.

Yeah, from what I've read over the years Japan is a country full of passive-aggressive-ism like this.
