Description A little project I've been working on for a while around my "Girls in Time" OCs. I was originally going to make an actual time "line" and do the whole thing graphically, but soon realised that working it all out in Paint Shop Pro wasn't very efficient, and such a literal line would have long gaps of nothing, and short bursts of multiple entries that would all be horribly bunched-up together. So I opted for a booklet style instead. ^^

All of the artwork of Amanda, Holly, Jet, and their friends and family members included herein were drawn and coloured by amiwakawaiidesu  as various requests over the last three or four years. ^^

All characters contained in this work are original; please ask if you would like to borrow them. ^^

Thanks. Yeah, I wanted to try to fill in a few gaps between their lifetimes as well.

And I feel that yes, Space is a boy.

Incidentally, when Jet makes official first contact with the Procyon aliens, would her past experiences communicating with her past friends be useful? While the differences between a human culture and an alien one would admittedly probably be greater than that between human cultures of different places or, in this case times, Jet would still have years of becoming understanding of people living with significantly different technology and social and cultural norms than herself.

Well yes; that's part of the reason why she went into such a field in the first place.

I like the information being all in one place, and also having searchable text.  It's also interesting to see a Biblical allusion in the name of the "Babel"; given how easily people (at least in the USA today) get offended by religious references, I take that as a good sign that people of the future are less sensitive about such things. (Also, what does the "USS" stand for in "USS Babel"; I'm guessing "United Space Ship"?)

Yes, being searchable is another advantage of this over putting the timeline in an image format, I hadn't thought of that. Also I can edit/update it in Word and reprint it to PDF whenever I like much more easily (though Word does not particularly like 300MB Word doc files...!)

And the USS is intended to stand for United Space Ship, yes. (I did consider Starship...but that felt just a bit too Star Trek-y xD). I felt that Babel seemed a very apt choice, as its primary mission is one of communication.
