I really like the concentration of detail on the face nice job with the negative space for the background grasses too. You should do more like this And why is your hornbill not on dA haha

oooh some tradition art!
You could probably push for a bit more contrast, but it still looks good this way. Nice detail in the face. I like the technique you've got going there in the background specificly by the face (that darker patch)
