Description
Thoth, the god of wisdom, is my favorite Ancient Egyptian god. Unlike my other studies, this one is not based on a single piece of art, but is rather a mix of parts of several pieces of Ancient Egyptian painting. I used chinese ink and watercolors on Pergamenata paper (it's a cellulose paper that imitates parchment). I added very little water to the watercolors, that's why the colors look so bright. But this is a rather time consuming technique.
