Meet the Holkaki, a mix between a Siune, a monkey, a cat and a raccoon? Somehow?
Generally a mix between creepy and cute themes ahah
They live on Bothea, the home planet of YVVO.
They can be domesticated by a Yevat. - You don't have to own a Yevat to make one.

Can vary:

- Size and bodytype

- Floofy-ness (can be much more fluffy if you want, I'm just bad at drawing fluff myself ahah)

- Length of neck, tail, ears

- Variations due to your own artstyle, of course

- Their eyes can have any color but will often be dark, and will always look like a night or sunset sky, or the picture of a galaxy, you get the idea. Basically clear dots on a dark colors
- Any of them can have long or short fur! It might be confusing with this sheet because the male has longer fur, but it's just to show fur. There's no sexual dimorphism, and the only way to differenciate males from females is the presence or not of a crotch. But a female can have long fur and a male short fur, it's unrelated

Details

- Only can be found inside undergrounds and nearby water ponds. It makes them a rare sight, especially since they tend to flee Yevatem at sight.

- They can be brought to the surface, but they'll need to drink a lot everyday, so they're a rather expensive pet.

- They're not amphibians, but they can hold their breathe for quite long and are good swimmers. They mostly eat algaes and fishes.
- They're a rather good omen, and represent the subconscious in Yevat dreams. It's also said not to stare in their eyes for too long, or you might discover hidden secrets of life that'll change you forever. It's just a myth, though.

- They're covered with a very short fur, yet very soft to the touch. Some may have a way longer fur, but they're rarer! (free to make)

- Their only sexual dimorphism is the presence or not of the developed crotch.

- They're *very* flexible, and light weighted!

- They walk on theit last phalanges and have no claws or nails.

- Rumors says that they're a distant cousin of the Siunem because of their similar body shape. If that's true, they nowadays don't have much in common, and a Siune would probably chase them.

Behavior

- They'll generally act like cats. Shy, silent, calm, and sleepy. And just like cats, they must choose you. If you capture one to tame it, and it doesn't like you, it'll flee whenever it can, and will maybe choose your neighbor's presence instead.

- As soon as they like someone, they'll start licking this person just like a cat would. They do it a lot. And their tongue is coarse.

- Their "hand" is very similar to Yevatem's, but their thumbs are smaller and farther from the other fingers.

- They can - and love to - hold things. Seeing them eating is nice because you can see them holding fishes or algaes like a Yevat or a raccoon would. When brought to villages some have even be seen holding knives or weapons! "Hold your damn pet, it just looked at me with those eyes and a knife in the hands, dude! What's wrong with it?!"

- They'll often grab random things and absentmindly start to manipulate them.

- Sometimes, they might grab your clothes, hair or ears while you hug them, and start to gently manipulate them too, making them one of the most affectionate pet one could have (as long as they like you, which isn't given.)

- They'll tend to follow their owner everywhere. They adapt to new environments pretty well, and due to them being good swimmers as well, it's not rare to see them on boats alongside sailors.

- They're also good climbers! Nothing is safe in your house-

- Given the circumstances, they'll sleep most of time. If you're a traveller though, some have been seen walking for hours straight to follow their owner, showing that they can be very endurant when they want and that they're most of time just lazy. If you have a mount, make some room for them and help them climb on it (they'll grab your hand!), they'll lay on the mount too.

Other details

- Some people absolutely love them for their sweetness and affection, some other hate them and say that they have too much of a superior complex.

- They rarely tolerate the presence of other pets, even when they're born with, and can show jealousy if you have a second one or any other pet. It's more like you belong to them than the opposite. Some can even be jealous of your partner!

- Tamed, they eventually might taste other kind of meat than fishes, and might eat smaller pets out of jealousy. For example, if you also own a Ibu, your Ibu might disappear in the Holkaki's belly...

- Brought to the surface, they'll rarely open their eyes wide. They're used to darkness, and their eyes are quite sensitive to light.

- To tame one, approach them with a lot of heavy scented fishes/algaes. Or maybe you'll wake up after a night in the undergrounds and one will be sleeping against you, and will never leave your side by now!

- Holkaki / Holkakiem are an open species. You can make as many as you want, without requirements. Just credit YokaMycelium as species owner, or YVVO please ;u;
- Yes, you can make adoptables and customs and sell them.
- Just don't break their anatomy pls
