Velilyevats in the Yevats society
Yevats on Bothea believe in the MOTHER, and in the FATHER.
The MOTHER is Bothea herself, their planet. They believe she is conscious and venerate her, thank her for the food she give and respect her.
The FATHER is YEVAT. “Ye” means “one, and “vat” means “the same.” ”All together, we are one.” They believe that they are all small parts of this gigantic spiritual entity. They believe their body is the flesh of Bothea, and their soul is the material of the YEVAT.
They also believe in reincarnation. For Yevat, when they die, their body gets back to Bothea to feed her, and their soul joins the FATHER. Then, the FATHER decides if they deserve to be reincarnated or not. If a Yevat were really criminal, he’ll be reincarnated in an animal or plant, and will leave the circle of the FATHER forever. If a Yevat were great, generous, and did a lot of good actions for his species, he’ll be reincarnated into a Velilyevat (winged Yevats); the FATHER grants wings to the most deserving Yevats.

Yevats live in groups in their towns/cities, in general in the Ancient Yevats’s ruins or spaceship wrecks. They have no leader, and if a decision must be taken, they’ll ask the Velilyevats to take it. They believe the Velilyevats are the chosen ones, and they’re the most appropriated to take important decisions. If there are many Velilyevats, the oldest female will inherit of the responsibilities and decisions to take.

Only Velilyevats have specific clothes and can’t wear what they really want; they must represent the species and its hopes. You can find what a Velilyevat may wear here , here , here , and here .

Velilyevats are often Priests. They are the voice of the FATHER. If they have powers (like visions, telepathie, etc), they are deified. Young Velilyevats will be monks, and will be shaved as we can't consider them as finished Velilyevats. They'll be often sought by Yevats to answer questions about souls, and to do a psychologic job. They don't need to hunt and will receive the best homes and food freely. But they are not allowed to leave the town/city and must be always 100% available.

When born, babies Velilyevats will be separated from their parents to be raised with the other Velilyevats and to become a monk.

Velilyevats must serve the community, represent it, take decisions, have important places. Some of them just can’t stand this life and leave… They become Valisem, strangers, excluded Yevats. Some just choose to live alone and have a tranquil life, but some other decided to make clans of excluded Velilyevats, and these are the most powerful clans on all Bothea. When they decide to attack cities/towns, they always win.

"Valis" means "a stranger", anyone who's not among the Yevat society. In general, it designate any Yevats and Velilyevats who have been banned/excluded from the Yevat society. Yevats try to add a scar or a tattoo on the head of these valisem to quickly recognize them. But all valisem are not agressive.
Here's what the valisem often steal in the towns: food, jewelry, clothes... and children. They take children to raise them as criminal too. Valisem Velilyevats will take children Velilyevats. They also kill all the mounts of the town to avoid people running after them.
However, you must know that these attacks are super rare. A Yevat can live a whole without ever seeing a valisem!
