Description
OH BOI HERE WE ARE
I MADE A VIDEOGAME?!
This game occurs in Bothea, the mother land of the Yevat , a closed species. However, you do not need to own a Yevat to play!
Throught the different environements, you can explore and learn about the species and their universe with this interactive experience.
It also narrates an exclusive story that will reveal a new closed species, but I won't say more...
HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME:
- Download the .zip archive in this link
- Extract it with an extracing software, like WinRar or 7-zip, for example.
- Extract it in a place you can find later.
- Find the folder named "Shadow of the Maze Jumper." (Wherever you placed it ahah)
- Start the game by double-cliking on the adventurer icon named "Game - Shadow of the Maze Jumper.exe"
- Enjoy
(Don't delete any files from the folder. They're all encrypted files containing the game ressources. Delete one and you can be sure the game is now broken xD)
TIPS:
- Have frequent saves on different emplacements. Bugs are still possible and you don't want to get stuck in a bad situation with only one bad save!
- Max level is 10. Be sure to reach that level BEFORE you continue on the map named "Ice cavern", if you want your experience to be optimal.
- When you complete random quests, you win a small amount of EXP. Consider helping the villagers!
- Sometimes, your choices will change the end of a quest. Choose wisely!
- Sometimes, your words upset NPCs, and they don't want to talk to you again. Be certain of what you say!
- There's a gift hidden somewhere in the game. Explore to find it, and do not reveal its emplacement!
- The gift require a screenshot of your **full screen**, with the toolbar, to work. I won't give it to you with a cropped screenshot!
FREE?
This game is completely free. You don't have to pay anything to play it! It took me approx 146 hours to complete, spread over 6 months of work. If you want to thank me, please consider offering me a single coffee All tips will be greatly appreciated at my KO-FI
Creepyan , Niolu , and Wevark also helped me a lot with their beta-testing work recently. Feel free to thank them as well!

I finished the game, and I strongly suggest everyone check it out if given the chance! I loved playing through- You can do quite a bit, so I'm sure lots of people can enjoy the game, even if you've never even seen or heard anything about Yevats!
The creator put a ton of work into this game, so the least we can all do is play the game!
Thanks for making the game, Yoka! It was so very cool! 💖💖💖

Rip, my Mac is so entirely broken, it probably wouldn't let me install this game haha
Well my roommate and I are finally getting a new one before we absolutely toss this thing across the room, so I'll def have to play it then, never seen a CS make an RPG for itself, very cool idea :3

No, it's entirely fine, even if you did this thing's just so uncooperative, it would be a nightmare haha! Ever since my roommate's had it years back, it's loved to shutdown and hate every program to exist
Though I'm sure plenty others could use it :3
We're tryin' to get our new computer soon, so I think it's worth it to wait and enjoy it proper!

Yo thanks for the nice words! Here are the numbers:
It took me approx 146 hours to complete, spread over 6 months of work.
The game lasts approx 2 hours, depending on how you play.
When I speedrun it myself, I lasts between 30 and 40 minutes, but you gotta know the tricks to make it.
Hope that answer your question (:

O.O atleast you have the art skills and code knowledge . That makes it less painful I think. I'm surprised / glad you didn't burn out on it half way .
That is a long time though .but again good job!
(I've so been wanting to make a game ..but I have no code knowledge all I. An do is make the art XD)

Not gonna lie, my art skills helped to make the game!
But for the coding, I use the software RPG Maker which helps a lot and removes most of the complex coding, so it was easier to make (: Plus the software has a lot of available tileset for backgrounds and characters so you don't have to know how to draw if you want to stay in the basic humanoid shape

Huh, that's pretty cool . ( I can't code for anything so that's definetly helpful )
