While it may, and I stress may, be a training exercise (what appears to be rubber canvas around the doorway and paint splatters on the walls are possible clues) those are Israeli soldiers, and those are real weapons. The Israeli military issues a smaller version of the M16/M4 for use in tight urban areas.

I like the eyes of the soldier on the right. It adds something to the piece.

It's sad when a real picture looks like a LARP. Maybe combat video games are just getting better at realism, but this makes it seem so unreal... Fake, like war is a game.

What gets me is how many people think this picture was set up with airsoft guns. Who knows, maybe it was, but... *points to "photojournalism->military" catagory*

Yep, people actually think this is set up (game..) and not real.
Shooting games are fun, but I think we don't realise they are almost a perfect mirror of the reality.
But to be honest, it really looks like it's paintball (plastic glasses, the stuff at the sides of the doorway (sharp edges))

I seriously doubt it was in an actual war zone. It looks like that most likely because it was on a training ground--it's virtually impossible to get so clear a picture (and have such clean equipment) in the real thing.

Israeli army allows pictures of their engagements to be posted on DA? Thats so nice of them xD
Nice picture, although any AK-47 rifle beats their M-16 counterparts... AK rule, yeah xD
