A Steam themed visual style for Windows 7. (Now updated with flash and progress bar version).
(Here's a video showing how the theme should look like when fully applied )
The visual style incorporates the appearance of Steam with a functioning Windows visual style.
The theme comes with 2 substyles - aside from the default, there's an automatically centering taskbar, and a more simple one. Will be adding another style later. Taskbar is usable with small icons, and side taskbar too, though the main focus is the bottom mode.
I'll be making matching icons and templates in a later release, but for now, it uses the timeless Token icons, as it was almost a perfect match for the Steam look. I'm also planning to make a matching Rainmeter suite.
I've also made preparations for making the Pixel Vision Steam theme styles VS.

I've also made an installer to be used with 7TSP.
I've separately uploaded the 7tsp installer, since DA has some kind of problem updating the main file when zip inside zip is involved. Download from my st.ash:

How to install:
You can install the theme using 7tsp now!
You can download 7tsp here: www.xptsp.com/fixit/7tsp.php
Download and install 7tsp, and browse for the .7z pack inside it, then click on "Start Patching".
OR the old method
What you have to do:
- Download and install UxStyle (uxstyle.com) OR Universal Theme Patcher.
- Copy the contents of Themes folder to \Windows\resources\themes folder.
- Apply it in personalization or double clicking .theme file you like.

To install them, just paste the 2 .theme files into \Windows\resources\themes folder.

I just instaled this theme and this is happening to me. imgur.com/4WLY2J1 I dont know how to fix it. Only for Run Dialog Box as far as I know. I couldn't remove it with instaling theme with a different method either

The Run... dialog is indeed not fixed; that fault is on me.
Do you use it often? I might fix it fast if you need it badly, just currently I'm a bit behind schedule with other works.

hi! It been long time! There is something i wish to request, can you hide taskbar, there is few game i play but taskbar cover it, so i have no choice but to changed game resolution, could you please by any chance to make it auto hide or move to down.

Is there a way to fix the recoloring of certain panels (f.e. the run dialog has still some white panels)?

Hi, it seems like not all colors for hyperlinks were changed. Some hyperlinks are still blue (0 0 255) even if I change the link color under Display. If I change the link color while using a standard aero theme all links are recolored correctly.
Edit: Some links use the IE settings for their color, changing the color settings in IE fixed it.

You only need to apply the default theme (right click on desktop, personalize, apply default theme).

This is fantastic. Only thing I dislike is that I use Outlook a lot and having the grey background makes some emails nearly impossible to read. It would be nice if you could release a version that had some sort of light grey background color for windows.

There is a way to change the background color for windows, you even can do that. However, the downside is that color is shared for several elements that you wouldn't even think it's related to window's background and then it's hard to conciliate. Unfortunately it's not an issue with the theme itself but with the way as the OS or softwares paint those areas. That's one of the main annoyances with dark themes.

I have noted another "minor" bug with this theme: there's not a 3rd state for checkboxes. If a checkbox is a tri-state one the 3rd state shows as unchecked. This issue can mislead users and make it hard to distinguish the proper state of a checkbox.

I have noted another minor issue, not sure if it's intended or not though. The icon for Maximize and Restore button are equal, making it hard to distinguish if it's maximized or not when a window is almost full size but not maximized.

I like the attention you have put on the menu font colors.In most other skins i have tried, the window, menu and other colors blend in completely rendering the skin unusable, but this one has really worked for me, thanks!!I also love your other theme "Dota 2 windows theme WIP" that you have for sale. Most of your work here seems rather dark(in colour), I would like to see something warmer maybe light brown or orange brown, light orange.

True enough, most of my themes are rather dark. Only the League of Legends Forum style theme and the Intel theme is light themed currently, but I'll probably make some more light themes in the future.

It's in the System Files folder; the clock is handled by timedate.cpl.
You have to take ownership of your \Windows\system32\timedate.cpl, rename it to something like timedate_backup.cpl, then copy mine over.

Sadly the background for most MS programs (ironically) are one of the downsides in dark themes I can't find a workaround for.

Some thing's wrong with Google Drive at task bar when right clicking

Seems like Google Drive is using not the same sizing as windows did; normally - since the popup menu background is a single solid color (white) you can't spot it, so probably the devs overlooked this.

This isn't only with Google Drive, Skype's status menu also does that and some other apps too. I don't think it has too much to do with the theme itself but with the way these apps render popup menus.

Just thought I'd mention, the 7tsp version doesn't include the start orb and login screen. You might want to include these.

Strange, 7TSP should automatically patch the uxtheme.dll, but it seems like it either missed it, or installed in a faulty manner.
Try downloading UxStyle (www.uxstyle.com) or Universal Theme Patcher, and seeing if it applies correctly afterwards.

You know... This yellow flashing of icon if it "asks" for attention and is in the background.
It's quite annoying, 'cuz when I get message on Steam I don't see it.

That problem does exist on Win7 too, I even made a version that supported it, but looked awkward, so decided not to include it as a substyle thinking I'll get back to it later, but I've been a bit busier than expected these last months.
When I have the time I'll fix it.
IIRC there is already a Metro skin for Steam, might want to try it

If this theme (for windows I mean) had at least a blinking bar below the icons instead the whole icons it'd be ok too

Yes, that's a great theme indeed. It's excelent when coding too as dark screens don't hurt eyes that much. My only "annoyance" with it is the lacking of a flashing button on taskbar (I keep missing new messages on SKype

lol yeah true. Ah, another thing I have noted (not sure if it's changeable via theme or not) is the Run box keeps with a weird white background. I have noted that window comes from explorer.exe so I don't know if it would require a dll change too or what else. This is the only annoyance I have with the theme, despite the lack of a flashing button too.
