(I'm sorry if Gaara is OOC I wrote this a year or so ago x'D But I hope you enjoy this Fluffy little thing :3)------------------------------------------------------------------
At a young age of the (Y/n) always talked to Gaara while eveyone was afraid. Every day she would always approach him and ask to be friends. He'd always respond in the same fashion. He would threaten to kill her with his sand and she would always respond the same way. "I'm not afraid of you, in fact it'd be an honor if you killed me because then I'd know at least you knew I existed" and she would smile at him. Gaara always felt a little tug on his heart whenever that would happen. Until one day he finally did become friends with her. Over the years they became really close, Gaara would always find himself smiling at her, even if it was just a small one.
Then came the day many years later when Gaara became Hokage. He couldn't be with (Y/n) as much as he wanted to but at least he got to see her often, for she was working quite close with him. She was one of the best ninjas in the Sand Village. But things took a small turn for the worse. Gaara had sent (Y/n) on an important mission between villages. But she hadn't return as quickly as she normally would. Gaara felt something was wrong, so he ventured out to look for her. After travelling he heard deep gruff voices laughing. Curiousity got the better of him so he headed to where the voices were. That's when he saw her. She was tied up to a tree, arms and legs tied together where she couldn't move. She had cuts and bruises and her clothing was torn in many places. It looked as if she was thrown around like a doll. The men were speaking to her, but Gaara couldn't make it out, as he got closer he realized the gang of men were trying to get some action out of her, and not the fighting kind. It seemed that (Y/n) was on the edge of unconsciousness. Gaara saw one of the men approach her. "Just give up already, no on is going to save you, you'll be able to live if you just give us what we want." Gaara started to become angry as he saw the man caressing her chin. (Y/n) glared up at the man and spit in his face. "Drop dead asshole!" was her response. The man became angry and smacked her across the face leaving a soon to be bruise. Gaara became furious. He stepped out into the open. "Get away from her." he growled out. The men turned and laughed at him. "And if we don't?" one of the men mocked him. In a second he was down and unconscious. The other 4 men looked and became a little scared, they attempted to act brave but Gaara saw through it. In less than a minute the other men were down, they quickly got up and grabbed their boss before fleeing. Gaara walked over and cut the ropes around her wrists and ankles. He growled a bit noticing the rope burns. He picked up the unconscious girl and carried her back to the village.
As Gaara sat in (Y/n) room he was going over the thoughts he had when she was missing. The nurse in the room finished tending to (Y/n)'s wounds and left, but not before patting Gaara's shoulder and giving a kind smile. As he looked down at (Y/n)'s form he reached out and stroked her cheek softly. Gaara gave a soft smile as he begun to speak. "(Y/n) you've always been there for me, from the beginning, you made things better for me, I wasn't so alone. I was so afraid I was gonna lose you when you didn't come back. I'm glad I found you before things could get any worse. I hope you'll be okay." Gaara leaned forward and placed a sweet kiss on her forehead. "I love you (Y/n)". As Gaara got up and attempted to leave he heard a soft voice speak. "Leaving so soon Heart Head?" He stopped and turned to look at her a bit surprised before he quickly walked back over to her to hug her as she sat up. (Y/n) smiled and ran her fingers through his hair. "I still can't believe you kept that nickname." Gaara said with a chuckle. (Y/n) had given that nickname to Gaara when they were younger, because of the color of his hair which was red like a heart and the kanji on his forehead that said love. Also because it sounded a bit like hard head since Gaara could be really stubborn. Over time he had grown to like it, especially since when he used to ask her to stop she would give a cute giggle and reply with a happy 'nope'. As Gaara pulled back and stared into her loving (E/c) eyes, he slowly leaned in and gave her soft feather-like kiss. When he pulled back she had a devious little smirk. "What's with that look?" he asked knowing all too well what happened when that look formed on her face. With a smile she replied with "Don't think you'll get away with just that simple little kiss." She quickly closed the gap as Gaara and (Y/n) shared a passionate kiss. When she pulled back she looked at Gaara who had a tint of pink upon his cheeks. "I love you Gaara" she gave a smile full of adoration and love. Gaara gave a large smile back. "I love you too (Y/n)." and with that they went back to share another kiss.
