Description
This step by step and carefully explained tutorial covers basic eye/face coloring, detailed hair and fur, etc. (mostly basics on how to do realistic drawings)! PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO DRAW THE HUMAN ANATOMY OR REALISTIC FORMS, but instead is a tutorial for how to cg or color realistically.
Since many people keep asking me if this works on photoshop versions such as 7.0, CS, CS2 or CS3, the answer is yes. If this works in ps elements then it should obviously work on higher versions.
Wow! I see my tutorial being linked on all kinds of sites other than da. Thanks guys for the over 5,000 favs and over 100,000 views
Tools: Wacom Graphire 2 4x5 tablet, photoshop elements 3.0.

If you do decide to use this tutorial for any of your drawings, crediting is highly appreciated. Also please do link me to it so that I can see! Have fun and enjoy.

This is amazing...I was just wondering, how do you get that smooth, layered look? I've already tried doing it several times and it never comes out right...
This is beautiful Your art reminds me of graphics in Final Fantasy XIII

I always wondered how people digitally draw hair to look so gorgeous. ^^ Now I know. Really need to get photoshop moved over to my current computer so I can try this.

I have a question. C:
First of all this is just amazing. Like incredible, gosh!
Congrats on the DD, even though I'm late. x3
My question, seeing as it's a problem for me, is what canvas size do you usually work with? I always end up messing up the canvas size, so it's either pixely or really small or... ugh. So I was hoping you had a recommendation? ^^

HI i was just wondering what thype of broush you used and howw you blended, I'm kinda a newb at photoshop so if you could tell me that would be a lot of help

Well with Photoshop in steps 3-4 I use a round hard brush to paint a base color with one of the extremes (shadow or highlight) depending on the situation. Then with the other two choices I layer on the colors using a brush with pen pressure flow and opacity. Then to blend get a smaller brush and streak repeatedly tell it blends. This can be tricky to get a hold of. You can see lots of art on here that isn't blended all the way and looks very streaky but this can be a style so go nuts
