Description It was no use. She was going to have to do something about her unwanted followers. The ogre was getting tired and beligerent; not used to ever having to run away from a threat, he was grumbling unintelligably. She couldn't let him rest for long, not without leaving something behind to occupy those chasing bastards' time. Scant moments between now and their arrival; she'd have to make sure she brought something particularly nasty through, and she didn't have the time to be fussy.

"Gods help this place if they can't kill it..." She thought, as eldritch feelers probed the soft space her gesticulations had created...

Sort of Howard meets Lovecraft? I dunno!

ohhh im no longer a virgin ...a critique virgin that is .

I adore that the girl has meat on her , sorta like jane average lord of ogres as opposed to kim perfect lord of the super models !

her left hand (the one doing the blood , sugar , sex magic) seems large in comparision to her build and gender .

I think her expression looks a bit bland espescially after reading the text and seeing your wonderful attention to detail everywhere else .

after a bit of thought , honestly the girl to me with her lack of detail seems to draw away from the ogre and the stump he is sitting on which just ooozes wonderful detail , I mean the ogre and stump I spent lots of time looking over and then I was like "eh a girl but yay she looks more full bodied then half the stuff I see online " and really didn't look her over nearly as much as the other objects in the pic which as mentioned before drew my attention and held it .

im gonna ignore this rating system though as it dosn't really capture how much I still love the piece even with my quibbles .

accck have to apparently rate you to critique you ...gah .

Woo, critique!

You know I like a bit of diversity to my ladies; I get fed up of the stick thin sorceresses or perfect figured warriors. I wanted her to look a little savage, capable of reigning in her Ogre, but also fling spells.

That right hand is definitely too large; going to have to perform some magic of my own on it. If I update this pic I'll let you know. As for her expression, I was going for something determined, like she's doing what she has to regardless of the consequences (the story was just a bit of fluff to go with the picture when I was posting it in all truth). As for details, I can understand where you're coming from - she might gain a few more things to catch your eye in colour; war-paint and so on.

Thanks for the critique and sorry you had to rate it to post! ...awkward!

ohhh also a question !  why pants on a ogre ? I mean we tend to wear them (clothes) for protection early on then it became a way to be modest and now it's almost like bird plumage worn to attract mates with our bright colors and flamboyant styles . Why does Mister Ogre wear pants ..im assuming the elements aren't a issue and his pants are way to tight to have useful pockets for holding stuff (besides he really just needs a belt to hang things off of   )
im demanding FFO  also refered to as Full Frontal Ogre !

Ogres (in this world I'm conjuring up out of nowhere) are semi-intelligent beasts of burden, emphasis on the 'semi' - think of them as a cross between a giant toddler and a really ornery horse. They have a pretty limited vocabulary (mostly cussin') and few material desires. They can take instruction and know how to fight but without the interference of riders, they'd just stand around all day and hit things.
The pants are there for the sake of propriety.

Without pants: HELLO OGREWANG.

ALL THE DETAILS!

You really like to punish yourself.
A few things taking a look at this again, the beast is great!
He almost has a look of "I've only just got to sit down" and "here we go again" very tired of this adventuring
However like a few others have mentioned on here the girl is missing something, maybe some warpaint, scars or freckles just to give her that extra bit of personality

Also not to nit pick but from the size of her pair, she could do with them being less perky. Just a little more weight to them
But overall great work as per usual

the ogre has a wonderful face, and overall nice design, the little fleshy bits dangling everywhere are a wonderful choice as well.

the added details like the straps across his chest tugging on his skin are great.

my only suggestion is being a big fellow such as he is, and possibly a scrapper as well, maybe he should have more wear and tear on his feet, hands and tail. Possibly old scars, cuts, bruises, etc?

would love to see this in color if you go that far with it.

Ooh, lovely comment, thank you! Yeah, he should probably have a bit of battle-scarring on him. I get worried about over-cooking details so I think somewhere along the line as I was making him all veiny I missed a trick. Hopefully if and when I get around to colouring I can do something about that!

Actually, I think the amount of veins you gave him is quite nice, he's big without being grotesque and he carries a lot of weight and power.
