Really nice one. It looks a bit like a DJ console software, but with only one jog wheel... ^_^

Anyway, really nice graphic job.

that is epic! a moving, working desktop wallpaper / theme of that would be intense.

nicely done!

Yeah, I could animate this, but it would take an extreme amount of work trying to get everything to flow nicely together.

Glad you like it though!

I LOVE IT!!!
one technical fault.
the 17th of may in the year 2045 is a wednesday, not a tuesday.
Yet i am amazed with your creativeness... its so... awesome. I love the technical details, and the overall idea.. where did you get your inspiration?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

z-design In reply to Pyromaania [2009-04-30 19:44:15 +0000 UTC]

Oops haha, fixed. Thanks for that.

Inspiration, as I've said in the description, comes from Mark Coleran, a visual designer who does the screen interfaces you see in movies like The Island, Mission Impossible, James Bond, etc. Look him up, he's damn good.

I wanted to create something like he does(a fictional interface), but more detailed and futuristic. Animating this would take me an entire summer break of very tedious work. Maybe if I get a donation for like $15-grand or something, I'll do it haha.

Thanks for comment

But there are so many functions shown, it hard to find enough functions on a computer to fill out all the functions you've made. xP

Absolutely, I'd love to develop this in Flash, although I find Silverlight produces far nicer effects.

GhostedArt In reply to AntonyBroughton [2009-05-07 10:12:02 +0000 UTC]

I actually havent used silverlight before. What differences are there compared to flash? Better? Rating?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AntonyBroughton In reply to GhostedArt [2009-05-08 02:02:11 +0000 UTC]

Well, what I find is Silverlight will become better supported than Flash in the coming months. Unlike MS, Adobe do not have the ability to include Flash player in the Windows update, and Silverlight is growing onto Mobile devices and handhelds. A few of the major advantages of Silverlight are; silverlight is based on the WPF animation model whereas with Flash the animation model is frame based. Debugging with Silverlight is far less complicated, you can also embed true type fonts in a Silverlight project. XAML is declarative whereas ActionScript is imperative, I find imperative languages are a bit old-school Silverlight also doesn't require additional codes to play industry standard formats, and media server licensing is far for Silverlight than Flash.

Sorry about the long-winded paragraph, but I was merely conveying a few key points about Silverlight. However, preference over Silverlight or Flash is purely the opinion of the developer concerned.

funny reading this in 2017, where silverlight never rwalyl caught on and flash is still clining to life mostly for online games
