Description This is the second try at this pose, see No. 96 for the first attempt. I set up a lamp in my room that was rated for a 40 watt bulb and stuck a 75er in there and now I can see what I am doing.

The lines came out ok but I think Tails looks a little thin. The shading conflicts with the bright spots on his nose/eyes, I spaced there a bit but the angles arn't that far off so it's all right. His feet seem like they are at the wrong angle as well. I still have a hard time getting the shoes right and I think that they worked themselves into the direction they are in as I was correcting them. I am not sure about the color change on Tails' tails, it seems too detailed for the cartoon style I have going.

The character Miles "Tails" Prower is a copyright of SEGA.

I actually like that his muzzle is bigger than it is for instance in Oekawa's style, it looks more old school to me that way. I'd make his nose more triangular too.
Depending on what style you want, you could make his feet and hands bigger. Could also add a bigger tuft of the white fur on his chest, to make it look less symmetrical, but all these are mostly suggestions. Depends on whether you want a more SatAM-esque style, go more toward SEGA or have your completely own style and just keep the character's personality and characteristics. Because I think you got Tails's old personality down good, his expression looks better here than it does in the games of today.

Thanks for the comments, I am shooting for a style entirely my own but that captures the old school style more so then any of the newer incarnations of Tails. I am honing in on what I have wanted all along but am not quite there yet. I figure another 20 or so sketches and I will have what I am looking for. The character's personality is what is guiding my drawing style at this point and I think that approach is helping me get towards what I want. Thanks for stopping to drop an opinion

That's my main guide light too, the personality of the character. I do try to adapt the style of any cartoon or game I make fan art on, but the big point is finding what I think is their personality and express it somehow

Yes *Flama-foxangel, I know that the color change on the tails is too far up, I will try harder to get it right...

Next time reply to me where I made the comment.
He looks chubby for me and that's fine. Now his muzzle and nose is too big, that looks more for a dinasaur or a crocodile.
