Hey, I got a challenge for you:
Draw a potential persona series villain out of your head. One with research, the other with no research at all.

Yea one using the story of persona 4 or persona 3 or them combined ( basically creating a persona 5 villian or something) the other one is a completely random villian that you can think of but still can be fit into the persona series (of course it has to make sense)
if you want an example, check out my drawing called Mikoto-No-Itachi. I think of him as the main creator of Izanagi and Izanami.

Other than there being lore problems with Mikoto-no-Itachi (there was no such figure in mythology, and the SMT series follows the use of existing myth to the letter), yeah I get what you mean.
The use of the story of Persona 4 or 3 or both, is something I'd prefer not to do, not because of difficulty, but because I think as artists we should respect the source material and strive to make something that can stand on it's own, rather than lower the source material to a crutch or base. I have my own Persona story that can stand on it's own (seriously, I have a protagonist, full cast, Persona designs, villains and plot progression, even a shop, social links, everything, I can link it to you if you want). So I'll use that.
As for the random villain, that would be no different to conception.
I'll get started on this soon as I finish up a few other character drawings.

Really? Oh well, I am still sticking to the idea that someone did create Izanagi and Izanami, just cause everything has to start somewhere.

I mean sure, I guess god hatched from an egg or something.
But to be fair they descended from Yomitsu no Kuni, so there was a plane of existence that existed before the mortal realm, and only a bunch of nameless gods that inhabited it, along with Izanagi and Izanami. I guess Itachi could be one of those... Just... Don't claim he created those two. Many times I see people creating something, they think is cool simply because it holds a higher position than canon characters, and it's not cool. It's a little egotistic. Besides in this case it'd be disrespectful to Japan's creationist mythology not to mention inaccurate.
Not trying to demean your work or anything, it just bothers me a little when people do things like this.
Also as for the challenge, I'll be using my own story and one general conception/random...? Honestly design needs a theme or concept so give me a word, just one word, and I'll design a villain around that concept.

No need to be sorry, a little research is good, but research is no good if you have no ideas to begin with. But it is pretty important though, just try and do a little bit from time to time, you'll be amazed by what you may learn, and more often than not, it helps give you new ideas.
