Description
A cruel voodoo priestess, Calypso became the lover of Kraven the Hunter for a time. She manipulated Kraven into focussing all of his rage into his vendetta with Spider-Man. After Kraven killed himself after beating Spider-Man, Calypso used her voodoo to control the Lizard, another foe of Spider-Man's. Spider-Man defeated the Lizard however, and during their battle Calypso was accidentally killed. She managed to cheat death however, using her powers to revive herself. She would return to manipulate Alyosha Kravinoff, Kraven's son, using a hypnotic spell to force him and Spider-Man into battle. The two broke the spell and called off the fight however, and Alyosha captured Calypso and took her to his mansion where he killed her to avenge his father.
