Description
After Galactus dismissed Nova he was once again without a Herald. While consuming a nearby world, Galactus encountered Morg, an executioner who showed no fear despite the fate of his world. Morg willingly agreed to serve as Galactus' Herald, unconcerned with the destruction of his homeworld. Bloodthirsty and cruel, Morg proved to be a very effective Herald, indifferently leading Galactus to dozens of highly populated planets. While Morg proved less treacherous than Terrax had, he was still opportunistic. While scouting one world for Galactus he discovered the Well of Life, a mystical pool. Immersing himself in it increased his cosmic powers, making him more powerful than any former Herald. Upon learning of the destruction Morg was causing, the Silver Surfer assembled the former Heralds and led a combined attack on their replacement. They were successful in destroying Morg, but Nova fell during the battle. Soon after, Galactus secretly revived Morg and had him resume his duties as Herald. It was at this time that an old creation and nemesis of Galactus, Tyrant, came out of hiding however, capturing Morg and a number of other cosmic-powered individuals. In an ensuing battle between Galactus and Tyrant Morg attempted to use the Ultimate Nullifier to destroy them both, only to loose control of the weapon. The resulting explosion seemingly destroyed Galactus' ship, along with Galactus, Tyrant and Morg himself.
