Description
A mutant with the ability to control fire, Saint-John Allerdyce was recruited by Mystique to join her Brotherhood of Mutants. Not overly concerned with the state of mutant right and mutant-human relations, Pyro instead signed on for the opportunity to cause a little chaos. After the group dissolved Pyro continued to work with his friend Avalanche. When Pyro disovered he had contracted the lethal mutant plague known as the Legacy Virus he and Avalanche began frantically searching for a cure. His efforts proved fruitless however, and Pyro resigned himself to death. Unexpectedly his last act before he died was to save renowned anti-mutant activist Senator Robert Kelly from an attack by a new incarnation of the Brotherhood. Dying a hero, Pyro's actions led to Kelly changing his stance on mutant rights and greatly improving relations between humans and mutantkind for a time.
