Description
A rough childhood led William Baker into a life of petty crime and he took the alias Flint Marko to distance himself from his past and family. After taking part in a prison breakout, Flint made his way through a beach-based nuclear research facility and accidentally trapped himself in a particle accelerator during an experiment. His genetic code was bound to the particles of sand, transforming his body into living sand. Despite his incredible power he would largely continue a career of petty crime and bank robberies, often to be defeated by Spiderman. Lacking in intelligence and ambition, Marko often found himself recruited into groups such as Doctor Octopus' Sinister Six and the Wizard's Frightful Four.
