Description
Fred Dukes worked in a circus freakshow early in his life. His massive size and strength made him a natural bully, but he was still considered for membership in the X-Men once Charles Xavier discovered he was a mutant. His obnoxious nature didn't lend itself well to the team's mission of promoting peace however, and Blob turned Xavier down and returned to the circus. Eventually he would be recruited into Mystique's incarnation of the Brotherhood of Mutants and became a mainstay of the group, clashing with the X-Men on numerous occassions.
