All you have to do is use this code inside of your custom box, which is almost the same as the mini box code, except it includes the custom box background code inside of it, which allows the little boxes to have a background of their own. (that's a mouthful)
Basically this is the code for the little box with a background. XD

I'm sorry about that- others seem to have it working fine, so the only thing I can suggest is that you make sure the image URL is complete and that you copy pasted the code properly. I wish I could help more.Β
