Description
With this Action, you get rid of the white in your drawings. It extracts your black outlines and leaves them surrounded by pure transparent nothingness!!CAUTION: This Action works only with FLATTENED images. RGB and Grayscale will do.
Recomendation: before playing the action on your lineart, clean it up with curves or levels, and erase any unwanted spots.

I had this drawing I started in Painter that I wanted to lift off of the "Canvas." I saved it as a PDF, used your "action." It worked perfectly.
I'd like to understand how each step in the process works for future reference.

Thanks. I had been struggling all evening to do this task until I stumbled on to your action. It took a bit longer still to figure out why the transparency wasn't preserved when I saved as a GIF (I had to change modes to RGB from Grayscale.) Thank you again - I'm sure I'll be using this much.

I was looking for lineart to color that was transparent, because I couldn't color ones with a white background, but you really saved me. And, now I can do my lineart in sai, which I love for lineart, and color it in photoshop, which I love to color in.
