Description Cancelled due to lag.

Working:
One level + boss
Pause menu press P or UP arrow key + left click
Move with mouse, fire missile holding right arrow key and clicking

The inspiration was J-shooters and how there is many many bullets on screen.

However I am using parts of this engine for my new similar game. Coming soon. Eventually.

I see what you mean about the lag, there is a lot going on and flash can't handle it, especially actionscript movement of mcs with filters - nasty stuff!

You need to play a game for the PS2 called R-Type Final before you attempt another one of these games, then we could team up and own all space shooters in the flash genre

Thanks for that! Can you try during gameplay holding the up arrow key and left clicking and turning everything off? That really reduces lag. I think I might start working on this again! thanks!

And the beginning was supposed to be a tutorial, I stopped working on the project so I just left it going fast.

Ah, I see, I guess that's not really important until you get the rest of the game established.

Yeah, it ran pretty smooth; the only part that slowed down a bit was that boss battle. But yeah, if you could find minor ways to streamline it and make it run smoother on slower systems, this could become a great and addicting game.

It is an amazing game thus far, (stage 2 is as far as i got) keep up the work man.

also work on the stage bosses, seems that ive been fightin the last boss for like 10 minutes when he has ho health

I'm planning on having a shop sort of thing where players can upgrade various parts, like missiles and shields. It's broken right now though.

only thing is besides the things you've not finished, work on the lasers targeting system, seems that if you move just a tadd too fast the laser goes way off target.

small problem with the game i made it threw the first boss with no problem but when i got to the3 seckond boss, i was sitting there for a good 15 to 20 min while his and my life were at 0

On the second stage neither me or the boss could die

Good and hard game like it should be J-shotters are awesome.

There was one for gamecube, i forget the name but it was hard as hell

And if you look up hardest shooter boss or something like that on you tube.... the whole screen is bullets and the guys playing can somehow dodge them, it's ridiculous!!!
