This is just what I do, I just want to show you guys, once for all. C:
It's not all of them of course, just the main 1st steps.
No hard feelings towards any spectacular individual.
Opinions are welcome, but critiques are not needed.Β
Please feel free to state your opinions. But even if you disagree with me, please say it in a nice manner. I may or may not agree with you however, I won't try to change your mind, so please don't try to change mine. C:

I quite agree with you especially about the art redistribution and the saving part.
It's the right and correct thing to do imo, but eh everyone is different and not everyone can do that

It's awesome when somebody comes and critiques you without even asking. I think the artist have kicked his own butt before finishing that pic thousand times, and suddenly a wild uncute person appear to crash his/her dreams x'DDD Β those comments don't help anybody to keep working on any pics. At least for some artists.Β
And also, if you answer them like "sorry, but we aren't looking for critiques T.T" they answer you like "oh, you don't want to improve then? Okay." <- W T F.

That chain of thought would be quite simple.Β
If I am not taking commissions, I will tell them they need to wait till I reopen to send the info as instructed.
If I am taking commissions, I will just read the info and consider if I can take it. And so on.

In my opinion I think people should not fear to giv their opinion or this or that about piece of (f)art. Well, everyone can help, everyone can say give this point of view as long as it's useful and not agressive or something like that. That's how we can progress faster, because we can't always see what the other see.

It was a little hard to follow at the end of it, but it was enjoyable ^^. I think I follow the same steps now! Even though I'm not near being good at all so I obviously don't give advice or criticism unless they ask for it. Sometimes I catch myself thinking of possible ways of making some pieces I see "better", but then I realize it's actually my own preference and style getting in the middle of thinking objectively xD.

The last part is not really good in my opinion.Β
People who ask a lot of commissions tend to redistribute their commissions. I am all for commissions, but there is a dilemma in having the commission the one you commissioned send to you and then reuploading it to DA. In my opinion it isn't fair because most of the times people will no read the descriptions to see that th works were ACTUALLY drawn by other people. The views and favorite you receive for the redistributed deviation may actually be in the detriment of the person. Sure it helps them with more exposure, but that isn't always the case.Β
I find that features are better and while the news articles have gone out of existence, journals are a pretty fair medium to put the artists and their works in.Β
Redistributing, in my eyes, is a missed opportunity on one hand, if you are someone like me, a nobody. Or someone like you it is a great oportunity, even if some favorites and comments are lost along the way that should have belonged to the original creator. (This is generalization. I do not know whether anyone of the mentioned even endulges in redistributing... 
Either way, there is tumblr for that.

this annoys me as well, these rich people commissioning the hell out of others and then reuploading it to their own dAs, i know they paid for the things and all but it's kind of cheating in a way, there are so many other people who don't have the money to buy commissions and things...(fight capitalism!Β Β or something like that), i don't think dA is the type of place where you upload something that you didn't make yourself, even if you did pay for it.Β (plus when you search for a thing then you'll find 2 of the same picture and that just bugs me ahaha i don't know about others.Β XD)
Like you said, there's tumblr for that.Β i had someone commission me and they share the image i drew for them by using my image's thumb whenever they ask someone else to draw the character(i know because of the mentions thing), and that's how i think it needs to work, the person doesn't reupload the things she commissions.Β
Anyway sorry for the random reply, i just read your comment and thought i should comment on it because i feel i think the same as you in a way if that makes sense omf.

Actually before reaching that last part we're talking about on my chart, I have went through, you can see, all of those not-so-few parts before it.
Also, this chart is about some random picture I pass by, not a commission picture I order someone to do for me.
Ok let's see: what I meant is, if it's just a random pic you ->really<- love and want to share, and the artist is ok with that as long as you credit them. Then why not? (Plus, I said DA is NOT a place to redistribute, I didn't say it's ok to redistribute on DA without permission.)Β
As an artist I definitely don't want to see people redistribute my arts without permission ->anywhere<-, honestly. However, it can't be helped if they share on other sites (tumblr, facebook, their own website, etc.). As long as they don't delete my watermark. There's nothing I can do about that. C: However, I definitely don't want people to redistribute my arts on Deviantart. Unless:
They are the commissioner of the picture. Well, about this matter, maybe if it's you, you don't allow them to redistribute. It's fine, I understand your opinion. However, to me, the commissioner already paid for what the picture, and as long as they don't remove the watermark, and give me my proper credit, I am ok with them redistributing my arts anywhere. C:
So, the thing is, I don't think our opinions mismatch much. C:Β
The viewers, yes you're right, people don't have the habit to - read the description, lol, that's sad. But as long as:
- You have the permission to reupload
- You credit the artist properly
- You make sure that you do your best to make people read/notice the credits, and fixΒ everyone who mistake about it.
In general, enough respect is given, as an artist, I am ok with people doing that to my picture. As a viewer? I am neutral about that. I always make sure to read the description before jumping into conclusion, so, I always happy to find a good artist through any description. C: If I don't see the credits? It's a different story.
