YAYAYA Someone asked how I did the shading/lighting on my irken eye ballz, sooo I made you all A TUTORIAL just so you could see!

XD hey, this is in no way a standard. it isn't the "right" way to color irken eyes, it's just how I do it.

Made an SVG version of the eye with inkscape . So this version is freely scale/rotate/transformable (and CC licensed).

Inkscape is an awesome open source/free software vector graphic (SVG) tool. The next version (0.46) will be even more awesome. See screenshots of the developement version . (The interface will be improved in this version, too.)

I wouldn't say it's an imitation of Adobe Illustrator. I've never seen Adobe Illustrator in action, but I guess Illustrator is much more powerfull. But it is surly also much more expensive (compared to no costs at all).
However, the focus of inkscape is SVG; to become a featurecomplete SVG editor some day. SVG is an open format standardized by W3 . SVG can be displayed directly by a web browser. Well, thats the idea, SVG is not fully implemented by all browsers (like every other web technology; every browser only supports a subset of the standards :/ ).
