Can't tell how proud I am I made the lineart traditional, scanned it and then I played around with paths in Adobe Illustrator (my dad has this program on his computer) and TADAA was so much fun to colour them :3
and the bg...I really like it :3 looked at photos from our ski holidays this year and yeah...you can learn quite much out of photos ^-^
So that's my final entry for an awesome event in !viking! style could have freaked out so much ;D Vikings + Archery + Snow = AWESOMENESS *O*
and my dear Fire and Riley :3 naww, love them!

little story:

„Here we go, kiddo“, said Riley in the beginning and gave Fire the sign to start galloping. It was not that easy to run through the snow with all these ‘things’ he had to carry. Viking’s stuff.
Now there was a quite long trip in front of them and Riley was always on the look-out for targets; kept his bow handy.
Everything was beautifully covered with snow but there were these heavy clouds in the sky. Riley could almost smell the snowflakes falling down. Not long after it really started to snow…heavily. It’s much more difficult to find the targets when you’re surrounded by snowflakes…

“Come on, buddy, we’re almost there, don’t give up!”, he said to his horse which was already gasping.
“Actually I never said it to you but…you’re a good horsie, dear, you can do this! Maybe you’re very clumsy but…I love you, Fire.” That was the first time Riley said to Fire that he likes him. LOVES him. And doesn’t hate him as Fire may believed sometimes. He stroke his neck. He was also proud on him because he didn’t stumble all trip long yet.
Now Fire got power. Power he never had before. He was motivated and started to sprint. Sprint for his rider who actually LOVES him. He couldn’t believe it. He felt like he could fly, fly over all these mountains.
Riley was surprised he suddenly got so much power. “…yeah, go, Fire, GO!”
And Fire was so motivated…he didn’t even notice anything around him…so he didn’t notice the tree in front of him…
“NO, Fire, no, STOP IT!”, Riley screamed but it was too late.
Fire wanted to stop, stumbled, and both fell in the deep snow.
Immediately Fire stood up again und was searching for his dear rider in the snow…
Upset Riley crawled out of the snow and stood up. Snow was everywhere on this clothes and hair.
“…Fire…I don’t say anything now.” He wasn’t smiling anymore.
