Edit: Changed a bunch of stuff I wasn't happy with, particularly Silver's face in the last panels :v (tried to make them more consistent)
Got a sudden burst of inspiration last night, and since I've been hitting 'em updates on Fridays, thought I'd draw this in one day.
I was super unsatisfied with the last time Silver appeared , so I thought it'd be a good idea to do this intermission and explain what he'd been up to in-between parts. This is part of the main story, so don't skip it! These are gonna be in color since they're gonna update sporadically and in short pages.
The backgrounds were heavily inspired by Katie Rice's web comics .
Aaand, if you didn't know, the song at the beginning is Wretches and Kings by Linkin Park .

And wow, your art's really changed since the last time we really saw him! 
Though I'm curious what Zeph's up to, in the end I'm glad you didn't leave out all the rest of Silver's misadventures. His poor headphones though, worn mercilessly in the rain until it breaks? Part of me feels bad for him; the other part wants to smack him up the head for lacking common sense.
Seeing as a map of Narnia is kiiinda useless in Johto, I wonder if that Murkrow is the catalyst that brings him one step closer to being not-lost? Also, I'm surprised he hasn't given up lugging a (surprisingly small?) still-struggling bagged human over his shoulder, but at least he's crawling ever closer to being part of the present plot again! Huzzah!
I'll just be over here making more Linkin Park puns by myself. Breaking the habit is pretty hard. OTL

Yeaah, man, looking back at the last time he appeared, I just want to crawl under a rock. Can't believe I made so many art-changing decisions in less than a year.
All these puns make me numb, I feel like I'm about to faint.
But, you know, in the end, it isn't all for nothing, and sometimes it wouldn't hurt to leave out all the rest with a pun or two.

If you really wanna know, I filled the background layer with a dark-teal-ish color (the "mood" color) and chose my colors by lowering the opacity of the brush and picking from there :v lil' trick I learned for choosing palettes.
