Description
A classic locomotive from the Southern. These Bulleid designed 4-6-2's were built during a time when express engines were not exactly being out-shopped by the dozen. So, the Southern claimed that these engines were "mixed-traffic" to get around that. Heh, with that casing? I don't think so. XD While the "Spamcan" engines were fast and right up to date, they had a number of problems that were solved with a rebuilding project.Credits to DanielArkansanEngine Β

I've always wondered what that engine was because of the strange streamlining, and now I know! This looks nice

Technically it's air-smooth casing, not streamlining. This was so the engines could be cleaned in coach washers (hence the shape and lack of a running plate on these engines, the Q1s, and the Leader). But even with a flat front, they were definitely speedy.
