Description As suggested by TrainfanzHazArts , I made two versions of C&O 1309 without a face. I had a bit of fun making these, I have to admit. So, here is 1309 in the two versions it has/will appear in, both in the past, and future.

Version 1: Western Maryland 1309
-As most of you know, C&O 1309 was purchased by the WMSR, for restoration. As stated already, 1309 will be painted into the Western Maryland "Fireball" Scheme, like Engine 734. I quite like this scheme on the engine, as it seems fitting.

Verison 2: Standard C&O Scheme
-Pretty standard. Enough said.

Chessie 1309 or The Mallet Virgian is a 2-6-6-2.

Correction, good sir, they are still deciding on a scheme.

I'm designing the potential logos to be presented to the wmsr's board of directors now.

Oh, alright. Hope your ideas get chosen.
I just assumed that she'd be in the Fireball scheme, as that's what 734 wears.

I gotta say this will be the very first steam giant of that kind ever returned into operation

Personally, I think the 1309 should cosmetically look like this. [link]

Glad you agree. Never was a fan of the compressors on the smokebox door. (aside from UP 9000)

Same here. I think that the compressors on the smokebox doesn't really look that good.

((It's kind of odd you should post this the Steam Railroading Institute is recently in restoration of an engine that worked for Western Maryland however they better known for owning one of the most famous steam engines of all time.))

Ah, excellent! I would recommend trying to sprite the logo rather than using an actual image, but it's great beyond that.

Thanks. I'll try and sprite the logo, though. It's a pretty tough challenge, but I'll make an honest effort.
