Description Click on 'Download to Desktop' or hit this [link] and make sure your compy supports DivX

Been busy these past few days with this.
I wanna bring Zeph into life by means of animation, and through it, workout my skill as a 2D animator.
It feels good to to be able to bring one's avatar character to life by means of animation
A small part of the animation is inspired from Gundam SEED Destiny, no points for guessing where though

There's a lot of errors that need to be fixed and scene cut matches that have yet to be made.

Lost some body weight for working on this but...

At least I'm enjoying it.

Hmm, advice for the animation physics, weight and motion appreciated. I can already see a lot of mistakes myself:
-Wind stopping area, clothing stops without follow through, snapback -> recovery
-Falling -> landing sequence, clothing is a bit screwy, not enough follow through upon landing
-Standing up section -> This whole section is screwed, needs to be reworked on.

Gonna work to become a 2D animator in the future, or die trying.

PS: Its 12MB, so please be patient with it x.X
Note: This is a movie file, click on -> Download to Desktop to view it.

EDIT: Now fully re-uploaded as a DivX file, its now 1.9MB in total. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Thanks. In the semi-cleaned up version, I'm quite glad with the way the clothing was animated

Full colour may take forever, have to colour everything in Photoshop as I have neither Toonz nor ToonBoom x_X

Awesome, I'm amazed O.o
I don't have the skill to judge details in your work, it just seems too fast to me.
Man, you're starting to scare me with your skill.

Just downloaded the animation and watched it for viewing... Points presented per Artist's Comments can be seen, eye shot is okay, and jumping motion is not bad. Just want to ask about the hero standing part - is the purpose of the missing clothes (during transition from the standing-on-the-pole part to the jumping part) to pin-point where the joints are supposed to move and ensure consistency in animation?

zephyron In reply to Poila-Invictiwerks [2006-07-27 05:30:56 +0000 UTC]

Its what you call a 'line test' aka incomplete animation.

Its done very often on the 'prototyping stage'. Clothing physics have to be carefully considered in order not to screw up the animaton as a whole.

Yep, the joints are to ensure consistency between the different pictures used for each individual frame

The full view doesn't work for me. :/ I'm considering trying it in Safari to see if that fixes it, but...nyar.

Ring-Dingo In reply to LennonsStarr [2006-07-30 19:37:23 +0000 UTC]

get a little program called VLC and it will solve all your worries. When Divx Updates just get a new version of VLC and viola! it plays most video types out there too! Free is good too, I can aford that

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LennonsStarr In reply to Ring-Dingo [2006-07-30 23:52:15 +0000 UTC]

Question is, is it available for Mac? If not, I won't waste my time and...chances are....I won't waste my time anyway. lol I haven't come across many DivX movies, so I'm in no hurry to download it. Thanks though.

Mac, PC, linux I think. I run both mac (even back to the old 6100 powermac) and PC, it does well with a WIDE varity of formats. Runs AVI's Winamp movie files, sometimes wmv's quicktime of course, flash, gif's and others that I rarely see. Looks mac-ish even too
