Description
In order to raise some funds to beef up the prize pools for Stock-Show-Finals - here's some babies for you guys! All of these foals have at least one, if not two parents who I either am already working on ranking up or that I have plans to rank up soon. I've included some lengthy information about each horse's lines and parentage in the descriptions as well. These horses are up for auction with a flat buyout option. If you choose to take the buyout option, you will become the horse's owner effective at the time of payment. Please do NOT pay until I have approved the buyout.
AUCTIONS WILL END DECEMBER 1, 2017 AT NOON EST. Any auctions with no bids after this date will continue until December 8. Auctions still open after this point will be left open for flat sale indefinitely.
RULES
- There is ABSOLUTELY NO IMMEDIATE RESALE ALLOWED. If the horse is immediately put back up for sale upon purchase strictly for profit, I will take the horse back and revoke your rights to purchase or breed to any of my horses in the future.
- You must intend to be the owner of this horse for at least the time being. If you decide to sell the horse, I retain first right of refusal (meaning that you must offer me an opportunity to buy the horse back before it is offered to the public.)
- Please place your bids (whether art or points) in the comments section. (Further instructions below, keep reading.)
- When bidding, respond to the last comment in the series. Please bid in at least 10
- You may NOT change the markings, breed, color, genes, or bloodlines of the horse you are bidding on. Pay attention to the write-ups!
- You may design the other side. Don't include anything crazy that is way off from the foal's genotype.
- You name the foal - we do not have a stable affix that you need to include. All we ask is that you keep the parents in mind when naming.
THE HORSES
Horse 1 - SOLD to theRyanna
Starting bid: 50
Buyout: 200
Breed: APHA
Color: smoky black tovero
Sex: filly
Genotype: Ee/aa/nCr/nT/nO
Sire: Click Boom
Dam: The Great Pumpkin
Description: This is a filly with interesting potential and a whole lot of versatility. Her parents are both pleasure horses, and she has definitely inherited quite good movement from her parents, but she is showing signs of speed early on and shows promise in several different areas. This is a horse that regardless of parentage, could be started in a variety of different areas and potentially excel in many of them with the right training. She tends to be a bit feisty and difficult to handle, and is fussy about being touched especially on her ears and face.
Horse 2 - SOLD to ShineyDuckRanch
Starting bid: 50
Buyout: 200
Breed: Appaloosa
Color: seal brown dun snowcap
Sex: colt
Genotype: Ee/AtA/Dd/nLp
Sire: Action Agent
Dam: Boom Boom VooDoo Dixie
Description: If you're looking for a great reining prospect with the color to boot, this is the horse for you. His parents are both direct reiner lines and he's inherited that and then some. He has the versatility and movement to excel in some of the pleasure classes and maybe even a select few speed events, but his true talents lie in patternwork. He's got a hell of a stop and turn on his own and that will only get better with backing and training. He is a total sweetheart and loves to sit around doing nothing and cuddling with his favorite people, but will work for you as long as you make it a positive experience.
Horse 3 - SOLD to theRyanna
Starting bid: 50
Buyout: 200
Breed: AQHA
Color: palomino
Sex: colt
Genotype: ee/Ata/nCr
Sire: Goldbar Canyadigit
Dam: Beauty School Dropout
Description: This guy is just about a dead ringer for his sire, save the face marking, and has all the attitude of his mother. Even if he's not the big guy on top, he thinks he is, and will back that up with an attitude the size of Jupiter. He can be a hair clumsy, but he'll excel on pattern and would make an exceptional reining horse. His sire is one of the most competent reiners in the barn and this colt definitely inherited that. Has some cow sense and would not be ill-suited to ranch work either.
Horse 4 - SOLD to theRyanna
Starting bid: 100
Buyout: 400
Breed: AQHA
Color: blue roan
Sex: filly
Genotype: Ee/aa/nRn
Sire: Red Hot N Hotroddin
Dam: Jalapeño Business
Description: Out of a promising young mare on our show string and by the legendary flagship stallion and soon-to-be Hall of Famer Red Hot N Hotroddin, this filly has big shoes to fill. She has by far the best lines in this bunch of horses and just as much potential. A slow-legged, fancy mover, this filly is easygoing, trainable, and has all of the makings of a great pleasure horse. She has a great lope and wonderful length of stride, and would make it just fine on the pleasure (and even hunter) all-around circuits and with the conformation to back it up in the halter classes. She loves people (perhaps a little too much) and can be a bit of a goof. Pears are her favorite snack!
Horse 5 - SOLD to theRyanna
Starting bid: 50
Buyout: 200
Breed: AQHA
Color: perlino roan
Sex: filly
Genotype: Ee/Aa/CrCr/nRn
Sire: Let's Groove Tonite
Dam: Cadillac Jive
Description: This filly comes from a promising up-and-coming sire and a versatile, trainable dam and seems to have inherited all that and then some. She comes from pleasure lines, and it definitely shows - she has a huge flat lope with a deep reach in her hock, and is plenty attentive and smart enough to train her up quicky and capitalize on that stellar movement. She can be a little grouchy, but overall means well and doesn't do anything naughty out of malice. She gets bored easily and needs some kind of a toy to keep her busy!
Horse 6 - SOLD to theRyanna
Starting bid: 50
Buyout: 200
Breed: APHA
Color: red dun tobiano
Sex: colt
Genotype: ee/aa/Dd/nT
Sire: Boogiemeister
Dam: French Chocolate
Description: This is a solidly built and quick-thinking colt out of strong reining and ranch lines. LOVES cattle and is already showing signs of being a major player in the sorting or cutting game - he can stop on a dime and will definitely be able to pull that out once he's backed. Big mover with a lot of reach and can sprint like crazy - this dude is the fastest out of this entire foal crop by a long shot. He's got a heart of gold to boot and loves to investigate, which can sometimes get him in trouble.
Horse 7 - SOLD to Crockori
Starting bid: 60
Buyout: 250
Breed: Morgan
Color: sooty palomino
Sex: filly
Genotype: ee/Aa/nCr/nSty
Sire: Kingsmen's Baliano
Dam: Prosecco
Description: This is a fancy-moving filly with strong parentage in the Morgan show game. Her sire is quickly coming up in the western disciplines and is the first-ever ranked Morgan in HARPG-The-WD . She would make a fantastic pleasure horse with some work, as she's got the movement for it and just needs to learn to slow down a bit, but she also has plenty of speed and potential to be an excellent barrel horse provided she gets the training for it. Super maneuverable and versatile, with a ton of personality and a big old sense of humor. Can get a little bit spooky and looky in new environments, and sometimes can develop attachment issues if she spends too much time with the same horses.
Horse 8 - SOLD to Drasayer
Starting bid: 80
Buyout: 275
Breed: Arabian
Color: bay rabicano minimal splash
Sex: colt
Genotype: EE/Aa/nSpl/nRb
Sire: Tokyo Drift
Dam: Dearly Beloved
Description: This horse's dam is Pennington's top Arabian mare with a stake in the reining and ranching game, and is sired by a solid up-and-coming pleasure performer, leaving him with a whole ton of versatility in the western show circuits. He could even make a decent hunter or dressage horse if needed, although it would be a shame to let all that talent for western disciplines go to waste. Quite quick and although he's not always the sharpest on turns, has potential in timed events provided he's given some work in preparing him for it. LOVES to annoy people and other horses, and can get a little bit nosy.
