(NOTE! I did NOT draw the Big Ben tower in the background. That is actually from the Great Mouse Detective itself. It’s just there in the background as a means of comparison to what I drew in front of it). Everything else I drew. ^^
Still my favorite classic Disney movie. So many people forget about it, but it really was a landmark in the history of animation, being one of the first to combine hand drawn animation with CGI. Ugh. I love it.
I always wanted to see the aftermath of the Big Ben showdown between Basil and Ratigan. Because, let’s face it, Basil got dunked on. He got smacked around and CLAWED. That’s...got to have left him with some pretty serious injuries. That and he FELL quite a distance, so broken ribs aren’t out of the question.
Of course...They’re not going to show ANY of that in a kid’s movie, with good reason. It’s just...Why do I like seeing my favorite characters suffer?!!!

After seeing this I just had to watch this movie! I don't regret it at all, it's awesome! I always loved Sherlock Holmes, and I've never heard about this movie either, so I was even happier after watching it. Thank you so much!!

WoundedHe was falling. Not after all this, he couldn’t fail after all this. The propeller, he was holding onto the propeller. If he could just pedal… no. There was no maybe. His foot slipped once, twice, finally gaining traction as he frantically pedaled, adrenaline pumping. He heard Olivia gasp as she spotted him, pointing him out to the others. They cheered and he let out a tired smile, angling over the ledge of Big Ben. His muscles suddenly felt like jelly and he crashed out of the air, landing hard and rolling a couple inches. His vision flashed with colored spots and he gasped, clutching his side, feeling sticky wetness.
He looked down, wincing. He was battered, bruised and scratched. His head pounded and his coat was torn to shreds. And there was the gash in his side from where Rattigan had clawed him.
“Basil!” He looked up, seeing the others landing in their makeshift hot air balloon, Olivia running towards him. She slowed as she got close, face blanching as she

After the fight for the outside Big Pen, Ratigan spliced Basil's clothes, even his tie ripped and his back too!

I only remember vague amounts of the film, but I do remember it allowing Disney to come out of the Dark Ages and into the Renaissance era of their films. Have you seen Oliver and Company?
