The Cerberus is Xeaklinn's true form in Prydain (The Black Cauldron), though she was always able to assume human form there as well in order to trick the more careless mortals into lowering their guard around her.

A massive beast born from fire, ash and brimstone, Xeaklinn naturally has a blood-red color to her fur. Her three heads each normally have a specific purpose in battle - the armored one uses the helmet/bazooka to spew Hellfire at enemies, the center is a lookout and headbutts enemies, and the left can speak and bite opponents (and is the one I personally headcanon is "the real Xeaklinn" ;D)
