<^> Jace <^>
A trained explorer with a golden heart - once you get to know him. Jace comes off as quiet at first due to his constantly being sucked into his own thoughts, and his regular annoyance with Twerp. Given time, though, those who befriend the feline learn that he's a fairly cheerful soul who loves to sing and a spirit for adventure. The one struggle Jace runs into the most is his penchant for being treated like a threat - being an Absol, he's regularly avoided as a spirit that brings about Disaster. And although he refuses to believe that such a curse exists, it seems to be true - while he has a "sense" for danger, often knowing where to step or jump in order to avoid injury, things go wrong a lot around him, and usually lead to someone getting hurt. Despite this, Jace will not give up in his passion, fighting to avert Disaster while doing his job and protecting his friends and allies.

Physically, Jace may appear to be female, or at least a guy with an affinity for eyeliner, due to the markings around his eyes inherited from his Liepard father. Jace has a mixed appearance - though the double helix ear piercings, double helix fibula piercings on each hind leg, right eyebrow piercing, erl bridge piercing, left spider bite, and a shadow tattoo on his horn are normally a sign of a rough or troubled Pokémon, he also keeps his fur and mane clean and silky to the touch, allowing the hair to hang loosely and unmatted. This is because Jace isn't concerned with how others view him physically; he only cares about how he appears to himself. He prefers for others to see him for his talents rather than his looks.

<^> Twerp <^>
Cheerful and friendly, Jace would even say "to a fault". Twerp loves being able to make new friends, often even climbing onto others' backs or legs in order to get a decent look at them. He's a loudmouth, always laughing, joking, and otherwise having a good time. Even combat is seen as entertainment to him - mostly because he often looks for fights in order to become stronger and evolve. However, being the runt of the family has its drawbacks - Twerp is incredibly frail, and can be taken down by a single hit from attacks that his ground-typing would normally make him resistant to, if they're strong enough. As such, his best tactics are to trigger focused Sandstorms on his opponents and then use Dig to escape from counterattacks. Still, he's not a planner, and will usually rush headlong into danger if nobody tells him otherwise for the chance to get a little more experience under his belt - or, rather, his tie.

He only ever concerns himself with his eyes during combat whenever he's not using Dig to body-slam an opponent, using them to focus his Signal Beam attack. He is now able to fully fly with his wings, though for the time being he's still getting used to that after all the time he's spent only being able to glide.

<^> SENTRY-100 <^>
This character is odd - it refers to itself only by name and others as either "Subject" or "Unit", depending on the Pokémon's species. "Unit Sentry-100" is very direct and analytical, long-winded in most respects (if it's a Pokémon that can even breathe, Jace and Twerp aren't sure) and responds to just about any pronouns without question.

Most information Jace has tried to learn about Sentry-100 have come up short with a response of "THAT INFORMATION IS CLASSIFIED". However, what Sentry-100 is capable of is astonishing - it can detect the presence of nearby Pokémon via heat sensors, is able to fight against Pokémon which should be well out of its league by finding weak points that aren't even visible to the naked eye, and is very clever when it comes to understanding traps and combat tactics. However, "Sen" (as the boys refer to it) has encountered obstacles where it has put itself in danger to help others, as during their first meeting Sen overexerted itself in order to open a broken wall to allow an Icebergs member to retrieve the item inside, which broke open its shell and nearly destroyed its circuitry by allowing water in. It will not needlessly put itself or others in harm's way, but has shown that when no other options are available, it is prepared to sacrifice itself for the sake of others it has never met.

<^> Evals <^>
Evals was traded to crop harvesters as a baby and used to make the work go by easier for them - as a slave. Being a bug-type, she was looked down on as being weak and frail, often kicked around by her owners. Her wings were destroyed long ago to prevent escape, and her face was branded to make sure there would be no place to hide. It was only thanks to a fellow slave who shared her stubborn will to fight that Evals eventually learned to read and write, and worked up the courage to finally escape the prison she had grown up in.

Enslaved, beaten and branded and treated like dirt... it's no wonder Evals seems suspicious of just about everyone around. Even the nature of their first meeting was less than ideal; Asteria has a bad reputation for a reason.

Although Jace and friends have learned a lot about Evals in the short time they've been together, there's a shared goal of easing the Scyther into a better way of life than they once had. Small things first; simple polite talk, letting the Scyther make their own decisions on what work they do or don't want... and whether they want to be called "he" or "she". Maybe in time Evals will become more comfortable.
