Doing his job efficiently is Stein's approach to just about everything, especially guild work. After finding a decent use for his telepathy and psychic powers, this Elgyem has been hard at work making sure that his talents aren't wasted. Despite having a moveset that isn't particularly useful in combat, fighting has never been something he believes he should bother with - as a scout, Stein is used to keeping himself where he can observe and guide the others and use his powers to support them rather than himself.

His relationship to his superiors is... complicated. He respects that, as a scout, he isn't above Hiyam and Haku. Still, he feels like the pair aren't quite up to par as leaders and that he and Jules tend to run the Scavengers while the lion brothers seem more like... mascots. Maybe it's not his place to judge; after all, the boys do get a lot of work done by moving in where the Scout and Apprentice can't go. Like a good subordinate should, Stein keeps quiet about his personal concerns and moves ahead with the job he's been given.

How he talks:
"I think we could get through this work a lot quicker with an assembly line. If I levitate our supplies over to you from the door, it should save some time going back and forth. Does that sound good?"

"I wouldn't say I'm a leader, but I'll definitely try my hardest to keep all our working teams organized. If you're willing to talk to me, then I can talk to you. ...If that makes sense."

"Don't worry, I'll be given you cover from overhead. As long as we all commit, we'll be fine."
