The Emptiness Project

After trying to do a few sketches based on the new Alesana CD, I realized it would be in my best interest to fully design out my own style/version of the characters. So here they are, the preliminary stand-stills for The Artist, Murderer, Lover and Thespian.

The designs are hugely based on the characters presented in the official music video: [link] . And from here, I'm likely to tweak them out a little bit (I want to make Annabel's cape longer, some of the blacks on Thespian might get altered, blahblah) but these are essentially how I'll present them.

A bit of an explanation concerning the Murderer. He's not an official character from what I can tell from the written short from the CD, but he's a huge aspect of the story. He's essentially the Artist-gone-mad. This is as opposed to the Thespian who is merely a creation of the Artist's mind. There are tracks on the CD denoting four "THE" characters, of which the Murderer is one, and thus, I choose to use him as a separate visual entity. You don't care, I know.
