Description
So I have no idea how long the source files for this sat on my laptop. I had scanned quite a few paint layers and some organic decay I setup with a bit of sheet metal dipped in a canister filled with water I use to clean/wash brushes with. Then i went looking for paint or other semi-viscous material sploches on surfaces, either accidental of those I could make. I failed with water and milk on concrete, but I found the "firework" pattern of sploches while filling up the tank at a Chevron station. I took a quick picture (which must have tweaked out the station attendant watching me click a snapshot of the ground by pump #3).
All those textures and layers of paint and such is what you see here. More or less. Maybe. Sort of.

I like that you made the extra effort to use all of your own textures and such.
This reminds me of a car driving by and splashing a big puddle onto the sidewalk as well as rain pouring down at the same time.
It's as if it's washing away all of my worries. It's quite intense and absorbing.
Thank you for sharing it.

Oh I will own this! To me is the sea crashing against a barrier wall, in all it's power and fury. Ohhh I love this!

I love this piece: I keep coming back to look at it and each time I see a different tone, shade or colour. It's a brilliant use of different textures

I'm not a huge abstract fan, but I really like this. As others have said, lots of movement here. It looks like an explosion from the ocean at daybreak to me.

That's a very interesting way to work. Very experimental. I love the action in this piece, it's like there's a lot of tension and movement at the bottom that fizzes up to a climax and explodes. Another immensely successful piece well done with it!

I dig this sort of stuff man. I see so much into it and with Joe Henry playing at the moment it just fits in with whatever track from Tiny Voices is on. Whoa.
