Description A few traditional doodles for now. Might clean some of them up later to render. Some are from comic panels in progress, others are conceptual "what if's."  Also, some Dr. Drakken expression practice and more gender swapping...

Just wanted to say i love how all of your drawings have a beautiful *flow* to them - it's one of the things that stand out to me, re: your art (that and the moods you convey!).

Thank you so much! Same goes for your art - your composition and rendering are incredible.  Also, you know, the subject matter is certainly a plus. Cannot get enough of your take on Hellsing and Karen Traviss's Mandos.  I'd seen your Commandos art before reading the books, which is kind of what got me started reading them in the first place, so I read them as you have depicted them. Very, very fitting.
My brainstorming sessions tend to be a music-fueled stream of consciousness, sketching rapid-fire to flesh out a concept. Sometimes unrelated sequential sketches turn in to comics if I like how the expressions seem to interact with each other.  Definitely done in pencil so I can tweak as needed. Glad you enjoy these!

OMG, Panya is so ridiculously pretty. I love that formal dress, and that helmet on her. And the one with her hair up in a pony-tail, omg she is awesome.
Who is the male twi'lek? He looks amazing.
And Overkill is still my fav All his expressions. They are priceless

Thank you so much! That formal dress of hers has changed a bit from the first sketch of it I posted, still deciding on the trim and how the skirt portion will flow when she walks.  She's got a few uniform variations going on, sometimes with cover.  Her hair's just long enough to pull back into a few different bun combos.
She doesn't accessorize for practical reasons, but in more casual or formal settings she can afford to.
That would be a gender-swapped version of Agatha interacting with gender-swapped Headshot.  I was pleased how he turned out, might do a variation on him for another character I'm working on.
Not gonna lie, his expressions are the most fun to draw out of all of them.

That's really awsome! Again You might have noticed, that I really love these Sketchdumps of yours ^-^
And also, I like the fact that these are traditinal. As a person who only just started to explore the 'World of Art' it kinda encourages me to see, that you can, in fact, achieve a very nice look to your Art without working with Artpads and Artprograms.
To the pictures, I love the detail that is even in these simple doodles. My favorite one is propably on the right bottom, where Panya is standing in the wind, hair open and something that looks like a knife in her hand. It has a kind of power to it, that I really like, already as a doodle.

Thank you so much! They're fun to sketch and compile.
Pencil and ink are where I started, and even though I render a lot digitally now 9 chances out of 10 the concepts for the digital pics are sketched traditionally first. I try to let as much of the original sketches shine through where I can, as the gestures tend to loose their spirit if they're rendered too heavily.
It all depends on what kind of look you're going for with your art.

For example, with my finished comics and digital illustrations here I tend to favor a more painterly approach, playing up value, texture and color palettes.
Other times certain sketches have a more linear vibe to them, and as such I tend to focus more on the line-work (ex: a few of Overkill's inked expressions here.)
I absolutely love pencil (just a standard 2B, sometimes mechanical, always sharp) because it can convey either style when I'm brainstorming. Ballpoint pen works well too, as pressure dictates how soft of a line you make and it won't smudge in your sketchbook.
I believe great art can be made in any medium, from the latest digital software down to crayons and finger paint. What makes art great is the attention to detail, concept and execution.  Art programs are a definite perk, but they are merely tools to make with what you will. Experiment, see what works best for you.

Thank you! Good sketches are like a good foundation - start strong and there will be less to fix later on.  Yes, that sketch is from a comic panel in progress. Was debating whether to go vertical, square or horizontal with it - or give it a page of it's own. Generally speaking Panya is modest, patient, down to earth (or Pantora...?) so to speak.  Unless you threaten someone she holds dear, in which case she will do what is necessary to protect them. In this scene, someone has made a grievous, grievous error.

Wow, thank you so much for replying I always apreciate it, to get some 'feedback on my feedback'
I also hope that some of the things you pointed out will help me with my own drawings and art
Oh, and also I gotta say, I am pretty excited for that comic panel of yours.. Panya has kinda become my favorite Character of yours ^-^

I love the fact that you draw Panya with an actual healthy weight, she's not just a little stick figure, that makes me happy!

Thank you! I prefer to proportion female characters a little more realistically than portrayed in SWTCW.  Frankly I've grown weary of the stick-thin default beauty standard for women in animation and in general. Beauty comes in all forms.

I mostly only care about weight if they're unhealthy overweight(Like me...), or unhealthy thin! Otherwise, it doesn't matter what you look like.
Weight only matters if it's impacting your health, something I wish more people understood...

Thank you so much!  I do experiment with different fashions from different cultures and eras, splicing elements to create a new outfit or two.
