My reimagined version of Chromastone.I never really liked Chromastone and here's my reasons why. His name never made much sense since it's a play on the word chromesome which is a structure of DNA and protein found in cells. How does that even relate to that alien ?!? An his powers were awful as well, he had enegy absorption and blasts but the creators had to screw it up and make it into rainbow blasts. Rainbow Blasts?!? Then he could fly for no reason and it made no sense and just like flight he had super strength whenever the story asked for it. His species also makes no sense. There's only one Chromastone in all of existance that is somehow a veritable noah's ark for rebuilding Petropia and it's inhabitants. Also how did Azmuth manage to get DNA from the singular crystalsapien in the entire universe ? This alien is just a Diamondhead ripoff (chromestone ruined him as well) that had random powers with jumbled ideas for a backstory.
This one is way different. Instead of being made of crystal and stone, he's made of chromium and a conductive ore. He has his energy absorption and blasts but he also has optic blasts, kinetic absorption, and kinetic redirection. He also is a living magnet for all energy around him.
I tried to draw this as chrome like as I could but I think there's room for improvement. I also wanted the eyes a different color, probably purple, and I wanted the omnitrix symbol on his right chest, opposite Diamondhead's. Overall I'm happy with the look of this.

Congrats with this design! Tho he might need some color so he may not look like a AF Forever Knight. Anyway overall is well done design!

Yeah this was a spur of the moment design, I do wish I had added some color to this. Maybe I'll make his crystals blackish purple and add an OS black and white costume to him.

Yeah you could try that, but the OS black and white suite is a no, maybe a pair of shorts, he's a rock based alien and from my point of view he shouldn't or should partially wear any type of clothes and have some cracks in the stone if you are still at it, HeatBlast style, but anyway wherever your artistic mood takes you I'm sure it will be great, also I'm very proud of you and the one have done here!

Ok now I know what I'm gonna do for a redesign. I'll leave his chrome body the way it is but maybe get rid of the cracks in his armor to make it feel like an organic metal. I'll make his crystals blackish purple and put black circles around the bottom of the spikes on his arms and legs. Then I'll move his omnitrix symbol to his right chest.

no offense but you misspelled Chromastone you spelled it as Chromestone, you see Chroma is Greek for Color.

I liked his powers. The reason why his blasts were rainbow colored is because Chromastone transforms the energy he absorbs to a multitude of energy; and there are different types of energy, with different colors. Personally I do like the ultraviolet blasts he has. The flying is....a bit strange, maybe he could use the energy he absorbed to fly, but sadly the writers never explained that. I will admit he did have some sort of superstrength, but really it was just extreme durablilty, because he is made out of a really dense and hard-to-break crystal. The whole "Sugilite" thing was weird; you make a good point about Azmuth obtaining a Crystalsapien's DNA. Plus, let's not forget Chromastone's "home planet" in Vilgax Attacks. If Sugilite lives on Petropia, then why is Mor Otesi listed as Chromastone's home planet?
The way the shoy portrayed Chromastone could've been better. Personally, I think he show has lost all of it's dynamic since the end of the original series. I like your ideas, and because Chromastone is one of my favorite aliens, I'm going to be doing a re-design of him in the future. Nice work

Well the reason behind me not liking the rainbow blasts were that he absorbs blasts of any color and redirects it as a rainbow blast. Plus I don't think alot of people would take that attack very seriously.
The flying was shown way after his introduction and that's what I had a problem with it came out of nowhere and felt very out of place in his powerset.
Like the flying, his super strength came way after he was introduced and I have a problem with it because alot of the UAF aliens were getting super strength out of nowhere and it made it feel like that power wasn't as important as it was before.
That's a good point, having a home planet when there's only one of you and your purpose is to be a backup for a planet and an alien race.
I felt the same way. UAF tried to be more mature and filled with teen angst and it failed. I think it's gotten better with Omniverse, but compared to the original series, I think it's a little too light hearted, but still heading in the right direction.

I agree. I think it's good the direction the Omniverse crew is heading in, but it still needs some work. Hopefully it gets better in the future..

Yeah I think Omniverse fixed alot of problems UAF caused and continues to go in the right direction. Though I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel series go back to the way the OS was.
