Jetaius come from the Babylonian Deserts where he lives with his tribe, The Rogues. Cast out from their homeland of paradise, the Babylon Gardens, the rogues seek to find the hidden land once more and return home. Til they can do that, they make their survival by stealing from those they come across out in the desert. Once they finish the thief, they ride away on their sand surfers, wooden crafts with sails that use the power of the wind for swift getaways. When Eggman's forces started going through the desert, many of their supplies were stolen and Eggman personally came to find the thieves and end them. But when he found the Rogues, he came up with a plan. Make them steal the Chaos Emeralds and he can find the Babylon Key that they need to find their home once again. Jet's father agreed to do this and set off to face Sonic on his own. When he returned, he came back emptyhanded and extremely injured. From this moment, Jet was named leader and with his friends Wavera and Stormrik he stall avenge his father's failure and steal the emeralds from their new blue enemy. What Eggman has left out was that he was mainly responsible for Jet's father's injuries with his robots being too reckless. But with this opportunity comes a bigger motivation that he can manipulate.

Eggman has equipped the Babylon Rogues with Wind Suits for less air resistance and goggles that analyze trails for fast and effective wind riding. Also given by Eggman, they were gifted with hoverboards that absorb rings for more velocity, just like Sonic does.
