Description
After drawing Jenti zigwolf.deviantart.com/art/Jenβ¦, I had wanted to draw some more of 's characters and Mai Ling caught my eye. Also after talking a bit, thought it would be a good idea for me to draw her as well. So I did and here it is.I'm happy with the way it turned out except for her fur and hair color. It's a little off because I didn't have the right color pencils to get her exactΒ fur and hair color right

And again you got the innocent yet deadly look on her face down nicely.
One thing I do pride myself with Mai is her hair and the slender but powerful feline appearance. Think you got that nicely here too. How she seems to be performing some Thai Chi all While wielding that deadly sword of hers. And deadly it is considering it can cut through steel. (Sure...,Like other people's characters can't do the same thing; but hey...my character people.. XD)
Nice details on the outfit too. I understand it must've been hard finding the right colors. But you did well regardless.

The whole Thai Chi thing actually came from not being able to decide if Mai should have a fighting pose or have her pose withΒ a sword, I've seen her in pics fighting or using a sword so I couldn't pick which one and then start looking up pictures that could put the two together.
Yeah, the outfit was where I think I did the best on this. It was hard to find the right combinations of colors for everything else because I would only have one chance to do it right. Took a couple tries before I got it to where I was happy with it for what I could get.

Mai is a great practitioner of such arts; but even if her look doesn't convey it; she can be a bit of a show off and a know-it-all. This tends to irritate her allies. XD
So using both her Thai chi and her sword at the same time was a good choice here as it tends to show a bit of her showmanship personality. XD
I say you did real well with what you had on the whole.
