My reimaging of Murray from Sly Cooper.

Backstory: Murray Riverre had a rough childhood with coming from the Riverre family or what the world would know them as, the Riverre Wrestlers. These globetrotting hippos would go from country to country to put on wrestling shows where the rings and arena would be destroyed all for the show. Things behind the scenes were another matter. The Riverre Hippos had a philosophy of "Strength is All That Matters" and you had to fight for your place in the family. Riverre youths were safe until they turned 5 and then they had to fend for themselves. When Murray turned this age, he had to fight to keep anything and even fight to get food at meals. Being the youngest in a family of Hippos meant that he was always gonna come up short in the strength department. This meant that young Murray would often end up bruised and hungry. An arena crew member eventually got a look at how Murray was treated and called the authorities. When the cops came to take Murray into protective custody, the Riverre's wouldn't let him go without a fight and ended up causing a riot with every cops needing to be brought in to fight the wrestlers. The cops barely won, the Riverres were all arrested, and Murray was sent to an orphanage as all his family was sentenced to 20 years minimum for causing a riot, assaulting officers, and destruction of public porperty (the Riverre's made a tower of cop cars destroyed cop cars).

At the Happ Camper orphanage, Murray's life did improve with not having to fight for food and comfort, but everyone was really afraid of him with the strength that he displayed which was nothing for his family but a lot to everyone else. Murray would remain friendless until a turtle named Bentley came to the orphanage and really showed Murray what it was like to have a friend. They helped out one another in various ways like how Bentley helped Murray with his schoolwork since reading and math were a struggle for a hippo to understand and Murray would always defend his little turtle friend from any bullies that wanted to pick on him for being a nerd. They were a dynamic duo and with Bentley's smarts and Murray's muscle, they were able to get things done that neither of them could do alone. When Murray was 7 years old, a young raccoon came to the orphanage and caught onto Bentley and Murray's plan to steal Mrs. Puffin's secret stash of cookies. During the planning phase, the raccoon kid appeared out of nowhere and saw that Bentley's plan wouldn't work with just the two of them, they needed a third kid and only then would the cookies be theirs. Bentley reviewed his plans and the kid was right. When asking who he was, the raccoon kid introduced himself as Sly Cooper and Bentley and Murray gave Sly their names as well.  Together, they performed the heist and despite almost getting caught, they made it out with the cookies in tow. After getting their share, Sly, Bentley, and Murray gave the rest of the cookie jar to the other kids and from that moment on the three weren't just best friends, they were brothers. Murray finally got a sense of what family was supposed to be like and he was happy.

11 years later, the trio struck out from the orphanage and made a new home for themselves in an abandoned train car just outside of Paris. With thievry as part of their lives now, the trio would steal from criminals and villains as to hold themselves with honor and not become low down thieves who steal from anyone. So the trio built up their skills and earned a reputation as the thief group known as The Cooper Gang. A particularly happy moment in Murray's life came from the moment he found love and it would be at a local van race in King's Lynn. The Cooper Gang was on a heist for good set of wheels (the evenutal Cooper Van). Sly and Bentley were in a garage getting one of the more secure vehicles while Murray was outside keeping watch when ferret reporters, Zig and Zag, came around. Seeing they had a camera and could blow the whole heist, Murray distracted them and took them to a nearby concession stand for nachos and drinks. It was almost like a date and might've gone on for longer if it weren't for Sly and Bentley crashing through the garage doors with a fantastic looking van and picking Murray up. He jumped in the driver's seat and drove off as cops and Carmelita chased after the gang. In his rush to leave, Murray left his name scribbled with ketchup on a napkin since he never got a chance to give it to them beforehand. From this moment on, Murray would meet from time to time with Zig and Zag as they both took quite a liking to the hippo. After a fight over who should pursue the hippo, the ferrets decided that it might be best to let Murray decide and the big guy was really indecisive and couldn't pick just Zig or Zag. So all three of them tried something a little unconventional and decided that Murray would date Zig and Zag at the same time. Whenever their paths cross, Murray, Zig, and Zag try to have fun in whatever towns or cities they're in, though they'd have to wear disguises as to not reveal the that reporters are dating the getaway driver and muscle of a thief gang.

Murray knows something big is coming as Sly has currently snuck into the Paris Interpol Offices to get info on the people who killed his parents. But no matter what will happen, Murray will always be there for Sly and Bentley as their cohort, driver, and muscle.

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Murray possesses incredible strength and can bench press 600 pounds. Murray is also an incredible driver and pulls off tricks that people would assume could only be done in movies. Murray is a decent fighter but really needs to solidify having actual fighting moves.

Equipment: The Cooper Van is the only equipment Murray needs besides his fists.

Additional Info
1) Murray would define his look as "Cotton Candy" attire.
2) Murray is bisexual.
3) Zig and Zag have a pet name for Murray: Pinkie.
4) Zig gave Murray his driving scarf and Zag gave him his white shoes.
5) If there's one food Murray will not eat, it is brocolli.
6) Despite hating regular wrestling (due to his family's ties to it), Murray loves Lucha Libre as there's a sense of honor to it that he likes.
7) With dating Zig and Zag, Murray would technically fall into being polyamorous.
8) Murray once destroyed a punching machine game and ate 10 whole pizzas in one night, it was #4 in the best moments of his life.
9) As of this moment, Murray doesn't starting fights, tehnically someone else has to throw the first punch and he'll get the fighting spirit to brawl like never before.
