someone asked me how i did my lineart before, so i put together a tutorial for the photoshop pen function.This is how i line pretty much ALL my sketches.

Useful. I do mine using a different method but its nice to see how other people make their art.
At first i thought this was a response to a tutorial I made but then i realized this one is actually serious.

But the thing is, I could spend twenty minutes creating a picture in this style, or put in 2 hours and make something with coloured lines.

yup, to do coloured lines all you need to do is lock the layer transparency and colour over the lines. simple. This whole tutorial, rainbowdash included, only took me 40mins to finish. i could just go back to the origional and change the colour of the lines and it would take me 2 mins

I did mean in the original show's style, which seems impossible to emulate without drawing individual shapes for each line. Hehe colour change tool would be too easy!

little known fact, all the lines were drawn in black first, then i used the transparency lock UPSIZED the brush tool and coloured the lines a different colour.
works a charm

Took me five minutes with the transparency lock turned on on the lineart layer.

Still not there, lines aren't like the show. I guess I'll stick with my method.
