This is the last drawing in a series of people that I am paying homage to. Russell was a teacher of mine who put a human face to art, I great artist himself, thanks Russ!

dude - you are too good...if there is such a thing...i mean the detail in the clothes and pores of the skin...it's almost sickening to think how maticulous that must have been and how long it took to complete this

man your stuff is WAY too realistic to be drawn! seriously, i cannot see a single pencil mark on any of your works!!!!! do you smudge with your finger? or do you just make incredibly complex marks in the first place!

To all those saying that this is a photo...
Why don't you take a look at some of his other works? Each drawing contains the same amount of detail. His current work in progress "Occasional angel" shows each different bit he has drawn. Don't say this shit about him taking photos, because it's damn well not true. In the full view, you can see signs of pencil in there. Respect Armin for his work and don't insult his skills by saying it's a photo.
Well, I hope you all listen to that and take it into consideration next time you don't believe Armins integrity.
Oh..and I am looking forward to seeing the finished occasional angel

Don't feel offended when people think it's a picture - it's a compliment on the perfection of the drawing ! I was gonna suggest that in order to "proove" that they are drawings : draw something that impossible though realistic...
But hey, I'm a believer already !

Holy crap, that's a dawing...i shall say again, haly crap. Your are really skilled and i'm very impressed. I love it, it looks so realy, and the detail, it's just perfect. Great contrast and I love the shading.

The amount of talent...*dies* You are what the rest of us strive so hard to be. I can't really pick a favorite part of this picture, it's all so good! But if I had to choose, I'd have to say that the shadow of the glasses is probably one of my favorite parts. Wonderful job!

As usual you bring all the detail and unique amount of scattered contrast that captures the eye and keeps it moving over the picture, but what I find unique about this one is you seem to have worked very hard to keep everyone come back to his eyes. Everything leads back to them, from the shadows which bend upwards, the black rims on his glasses, the lacking of extreme detail in his neck and shirt, and the diagonal creases in his face. I'm going to make an intuitive guess that this was a quieter teacher who spent more time trying to teach with his eyes and hands then trying to lecture or talk about art, correct me if I'm wrong. Excellent work, but I do have to questions. Did you intend for his right nostril to get lost in shadow, and his left glass lens to have no reflection?
