This is the last drawing in a series of people that I am paying homage to. Russell was a teacher of mine who put a human face to art, I great artist himself, thanks Russ!

oh my god... how is this physically possible? ... WOW... i commented on your angel work in progress picture and said that was the best graphite drawing i've ever seen... but now, after seeing this, hehe i dunno.. this just might be the best.. but it doesn't really matter.. because you're just the most talented graphite artist i've ever come across.. period. i don't think anything can top your talent. because Im not you, but if I were you, Id be about sick of hearing good comments about my work
HA, well yes, you have excellent rendering abilities, and a near impeccable eye for detail,
but why not stretch your limits a bit,
maybe add a bit of "unreality" a bit, you know, with unreality meaning a less mass consensual view of....
but thats just my kup of tea

Your artwork is truly inspirational in its detail and photorealism. It reminds me Chuck Close's early work. You a fan? I am, so I like your art by proxy I suppose, hehe. Anyways I admire your great talent and the patience that must be involved.

People always say my drawings look photo realistic but looking at this drawing makes my stuff look like cartoon drawings. This is simply flawless, the strains of hair, the shadow behind the glasses onto the skin. Looking at this makes me want to try even harder to draw better.

Your realism with the pencil is simply something that doesn't come up every day. You are definitely one of the finest artists I have ever seen anywhere - and I am quite sure I will never see anyone better than you. With a pencil, at least. I love the way you make the hair look so realistic, so... 'there'. It's almost like I could touch the man there.

Wow. I am completely and totally floored at the amount of detail you were able to get into this image. I've done pencil drawings myself and they usually came out like an underexposed, blurry photo. That you have so much detail just totally floors me.

this is probably my favorit of all of your works, there is something so slight and yet so appeling about this rendering versuse the others.
i guess its from the gorgeuse softness and texture this piece and how it captures and comunicates the personality of Russell Thayer (i dont know him but i would guess given this image he is certaily not a harsh person in any right)

very nice work, reminiscent of early chuck close but with pencil instead of paint, perfect model and captures a great deal of personality, the technical skill is quite impressive as well, I wish you luck, I can see that you will have an illustrious career as an artist ahead of you.
