By any chance, do you have a blank political map of Triton? I'm writing that sci-fi story of mine and I'm pretending there is an important antagonist country located on Triton. Or alternatively, is it possible to make a political map out of this one? I'd do it for myself, just for my personal uses, I won't share it anywhere.

You ought to consider using these awesome textures in Stellaris mods!

I don't play Stellaris nor do I have any desire to start. So the point is moot.

Oh, alright. Either way, the designs are great!

Very nice work.

However, the surface seems to show like a whole lot of lakes and ponds.

Yeah, they're called craters. Craters are depressions in the ground that can fill with water. The terraforming program I use has a tool that "fills depressions as lakes" so it does that throughout the whole map.

What is your terraforming program?

Copied from the root of this gallery

Well first you need to get accurate topographic maps of the planet you want to work on. I noticed in your pictures you seemed to make the continents at almost random shapes, except for Venus. You can spend a long time Google trying to find maps or go here for a good start.Β

Next, what I did was I bought this program

secure.profantasy.com/products…

With that program I could let the computer plot out rain, temperature and climate data. It's very simple, has a devil of a time making an accurate Earth climate with all our deserts and plains.. but it's simple and it works.

From that data I just spent many hours and constant practice in photoshop replacing the color data with satellite photos of the earth to get realistic textures. Also, I ignored all science and phyisics about how 99% of these are just balls of ice and too small to hold an atmosphere.Β

where did you get the topographic information for Triton. I am making a Triton project of my own and i would appreciate it if you could tell me some places where i can find hi-res maps of Triton.

Fascinating! Never thought terraforming neptune was possible! I've got an idea!

Google terraformed Neptune. Then, it shows you how to terraform the rocky core of Neptune
