So she finally did itbut her pose is a Little Crappy
47 Episodes guys, it is ridiculous
so ridiculous that when i found out she was catching something i made a little list of what has happened in every other region's first 47 Episodes
just so we can point out how ridiculously behind Serena is on Character Development
So In Episode 47 of the;

Ash's Charmander had fully evolved
Misty had caught a Horsea and a Psyduck
the Porygon, Beauty and the Beach and Dratini episodes were banned
Ash caught 30 Tauros
TR's Pokémon had evolved (including the Magikarp)
Ash had earned his 5th badge 15 episodes ago
Brock got a Zubat and Vulpix
Ash had caught and left behind Primeape for training
Ash had Crossdressed
the groundwork for PMD had already been seeded
Ash had traded twice
and obtained a total of 38 Pokémon
AG -
May obtains a Skitty and has a fully evolved Beautifly
Ash has a Taillow, Corphish and Treeko
Brock has a Mudkip and Lotad
TR have a fully evolved Dustox and a Cacnea
Ash has won his third badge 7 episodes ago
May has participated in a Contest
the Mudkip Meme had been created
Max has his first Pokémon Battle

Ash had won his third gym badge 24 episodes ago
and Team Rocket have gone in and out of their badass black uniform

It would great if you could make one for the 60-episode mark when she finally enters a showcase, but that would probably be a lot of work so it's up to you. Either way this gets the point across pretty well.

yeah I know it seems that the writers for XY got really LAZY with Serena for an entire year and now her character arc may be rushed as it is slow

Nothing just like serena, it's sad too because I was hoping she would become interesting and even gave her 20 episode's to do so but she did nothing so I was all like "...She gets another 20 episodes"

And while serena has a goal that doesn't mean shit if she has no character, I didn't care if she didn't battle, I didn't care if she had a goal or not, I didn't care if she had a crush on ash, what I cared was if she was going to be a character I liked because when I saw the first few episodes with I noticed she had typical girl personality ( Crush on a boy she just met, likes shopping,
likes fashion) all that jazz and well that's all she has because that "so called" rivalry isn't going anywhere, her mommy issues her kinda boring and the fact that it took them this long to bring it up again was just plan bad writing, 50 episode's to her to capture another pokemon? Sorry but you took to long and know I'm out of fucks to give sorry try another bakery they might have some more.
Bottom line, Serena has no character and anyone who says or wise will be issued a challenge to SETTLE IT IN SMASH!
.....Well that was a good rant, now to start rant on Serena x Ash and why it's poisoning the fanbase. (Like most ships do sadly)

In fact, I've even tried to dissect her character (or lack thereof) from a "realistic" standpoint, since that's what so many defenders say about her.
